    Vintage star wars got me into collecting. As a child, my grandmother believed that Star Wars action figures on the card would be worth money some day. We would drive all over town looking to complete her collection which unbeknownst to me, was actually for me. I had most of the figures loose already but I trashed them. Today, I still have everyone of those carded figures, even the few that I pried open and "borrowed" the weapons that I had lost. She passed away in March, but her collecting spirit lives on. :acclaim:

     

    Great story. How about some pictures of that collection?

    2. Misc. Pop Culture items: Action figures (including a couple 1978 12" Star Wars figures), trading cards (singles & sealed box), posters, toys, magazines and a boatload of other stuff that you might see at a comic convention. This is stuff I've had for 20+ years and it's just time to go.

     

    I'm going to try to have the first thread up sometime Sunday.

     

    Aahhh... And I am not going to be here to see it (no internet as from Sunday for three days)

    Because in pencil I had to play a little with the copy to show the lines better. This pictures doesn't do it justice as it is a beauty.

    I also picked this up from my LCS yesterday. Ive gotten into the statues lately and had been eyeing this for a couple months and the owner gave me an AWESOME cant pass up deal yesterday!

     

    The thing is HUGE and the base must weigh 5lbs. Its almost 2 feet tall and pure awesomeness for me! I didnt even know it lit up until i got it home and unpacked. I couldnt stop staring at it all day yesterday :cloud9:

    I already found some great books on this board and hope to find even more during this weekends VCC...

     

    But if you do want to by somewhere else do use the link in my sig. Like that I get some extra spending money with mycomics!

     

    I used to buy with MH (my modern pull list), but when they started to come beat up because of the worst packaging ever (and no reaction to my complain mails) I went somewhere else.
