Big mistake on Fox's part. UF4 was terrible and the only bright side to that awful series was the introduction of the zombie-verse.

Apocalypse is not what I was expecting.

Fox called the movie 'decent'. Decent. And I think the 'Thing without shorts' thing is just guy talk...much like Dr. Manhattan showing his full shlong during the Watchmen movie. I thought it was fine. I'm going to guess it gets 65-70% on rotten tomatoes based on the trailers I've seen. Let's see how far off I am in a few weeks. When George Lucas was critiqued on the filming of the prequels, lucas woild often say and I qoute "it's good enough"...we all saw how good enough and decent worked out for one franchise.
