  1. I've wanted to start this thread for awhile now, but sense I had only read a couple of issues I didn't think I should start this type of thread, but it took a recent thread by ''Amadeus'' to get me to start this anyway :insane:.

This thread will be dedicated to all of us new & old fans to show off our ''collectibles''.

Discuss the various series & talk to fellow fans of these books & share stories of how we first heard about these books & maybe convince some fans of other ''ages'' to try these comics.

So far my favorite series has to be GRIPS.

    What's yours?

Also I like to show a link to a great place to pick up whatever back issues you may be missing from your collection.

  2. All kind of hard to find in HG

There is also Northstar 1 in 1988 with Faust on the back cover.

this one has been on the bay for a while you might be able to get him to lower the price.

It is a 9.6 so it might not meet your standards :baiting:

Saw that one awhile back. I may just buy it sense a 9.8 is going to be impossible. :tonofbricks:
  3. I thought that Faust's first appearance was Faust #1 LOTD #1 (Northstar) But I've discovered his First Appearance is really Omega #1. Now my question to the experts is how rare is Omega #1? How much money should I expect to pay for a NM/MT copy? and are there any production defects on the book I should now about with O#1? I also discovered there are several different variants to this book.

    1. Yellow Thunder bolt.

    2. Portfolio Edition.

    3. Limited Edition (ltd 1000 copies)

    4. Premire Edition (Standerd cvr?)

  4. Anybody ever notice the similarities with Death Stroke and Dead Pool?

    Dead Pool - Wade Wilson.

    Death Stroke - Slade Wilson.

and the costume is similar in many ways.

Maybe it's just coincidence, never heard the comparisons mentioned before though!

I belive it was a ''in joke'' among the MARVEL staff at the time.
  5. Michael, I treated myself to some mylite2s during Hotflips sale. I got the 725 and 700 halfbacks and love them. However, I noticed that the .20¢ are very tight in the 725s. Should I go up a size for those?

Also, I tuck in the flap on my cheapie bags and am doing the same with these. Does anyone have anyother suggestions for closing the flap?

I use ''transparent'' scotch tape to keep the flaps closed.
  6. So conclusion is:

    1. Don't buy before movie/new hype

    2. Most Copper comics are available readily (except maybe Turtles 1 first print)

Well, number 1 depends on what you have to pay when you buy. I may have missed the peak in looking to sell this copy, but it was only a $12 purchase:

WOW! That's a sweet SHARP copy! you selling?
