Thanks for the grades. The chipping on this one is particularly bad. Chipping seems to be common with these old Marvel books.

Thank you all, especially for the spirited discussion! I knew the staining and creases were going to kill the grade. I thought you all might even go lower. Thanks again.

Thanks for looking it over. I thought it was in pretty good shape and 5.5/6.0 fits with my thinking. Not a hugely valuable book, but an interesting cover with good colors.

I knew the stains were going to sink the grade. Thought it might come out at a 5.0 or so. Thanks to both of you for looking.

Thanks to you all. This was a very fun post.

LOL - not before my time. I bought this comic for $0.12 in 1963. It's one of 300 that I'm slowly working through, mostly DC, but a few Marvel and others. Your comment made my day!

Thanks for the grades. Interesting that Heritage has an uncertified 4.0 for auction Aug. 15 to 22 and a 3.0 for auction Sept. 5 - 12.

I have 10 books I'd like to submit for grading/encapsulation, but I'm confused about the tier system. They are all Silver age comics ca 1961. I've had some estimates of the possible grades from the forum. 2 books look to have a value of $1,000 or a little more. 5 others look to have values from $300 to $500. The remaining 3 are ~$200. Do I pack and send them all together? Do I select a tier for each book separately? I have not selected a membership level yet. It looks like if I select the Premiere level, I'd have at least enough costs with the submission to use up the $150 credit.
Probably dumb questions, but I'd really like to have some guidance here.

Thank you all for looking at this book. Even in this condition, it appears worth a bit. I am preparing to send in this with some other books. I'll post what grade it comes back with.

in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?

I'd appreciate your comments on this book.
some spine ticks, dent near lower right corner of FC, the 1/4" line that shows on the scan appears to be a dent - it shows on the interior pages.
Thanks
