  1. Exactly my point. How many potential submissions will never happen because of instances like this?
  2. Many have posted this sentiment ad infinitum to no avail. CGC is a de facto monopoly, and they want to shepard people to their "fast track" tier for BIGGER profits. I doubt you will see expansion any time soon. I predict the bulk of CGC's business will be "fast track," and that suits them fine. It's not the grading fees, and therefore their profits, that I'm addressing. It's the turnaround as a whole. Even fast track has slowed down to what should be the normal turnaround for Economy. If they want to raise grading fees they should just do it. Then Fast Track can become Economy and they can offer a grading tier at the current Economy price and call it "When we get to it".
  3. At this point I wouldn't bet on turnarounds getting any faster any time soon. As more and more books are subbed as fast track it's just going to push everything else further behind. Just my opinion but I think it's time for CGC to expand, there's obviously demand for their services and if they take the leap and do it, it will certainly help retain some customers who might be on the fence about whether or not the turnaround times are worth getting books graded.
  4. If you call customer service they can change the Ship To address. It just requires an email confirmation to do it. At one point they had an invoice set to ship to my home address rather than my PO Box and it wasn't a problem.
  5. I called this morning about my sub from 4/14 and the books they've been telling me are in encapsulation are now in quality control. Never heard that one from them before. In the meantime I see books being listed on ebay and have seen a couple other people post some of their Economy subs here from the same show. I don't get it, I was told three weeks ago they'd be shipped within 5 days. I wouldn't even mind if they told me they had no idea of when they'd go out but don't BS me about it.
  6. Well at least I know I'm the only one whose eye wanders towards random books. I see stuff come up all the time and my initial reaction is to snag it. Especially if the price seems decent and I haven't seen one before.
  7. I think that's a great way to approach it as long as you can stay focused. Is it just me or does anyone else have a problem with getting distracted when other stuff pops up that doesn't fit your focus but would still be really cool to have?
  8. My GL 76 has that as well. I might have to track down the other one just for the heck of it. With all the Novaro books I've recently acquired it's put me in the position where I can start focusing more on subbing them for SS. It'll be expensive for sure but I'm bound and determined to have the most extensive Neal Adams & Bernie Wrightson foreign SS collection in the known universe. Well, if you put it that way, do I have the most extnsive SS ASM 300, 298, 252 collections in the world? lmao You very well might.

It'll be expensive for sure but I'm bound and determined to have the most extensive Neal Adams & Bernie Wrightson foreign SS collection in the known universe. This way, however, you’ll no longer be able to browse them, which IMO, is one of the most interesting things, even if you don’t know the language. True but I do have my HCs & TPBs that reprint a lot of it. (thumbs u

  11. I know they're up to April. My C2E2 Economy books are graded and waiting to be encapsulated/shipped.
  12. It's pretty cool. I haven't seen that one before. (thumbs u
  13. Cool, I have some advice as far as selling these for your friend but my wife is insisting I do somthing for her.... let me get back to ya! (thumbs u Yeah... tell him to post them here.
  14. Wow. 30 million bucks... But wait, that's been only 3 mil a year. Puts in a different light. add in rent, utilities, payroll, insurance, maintenance costs, etc., etc. No wonder they needed to start charging for grader's notes, they were going under! But that's at the minimum of $15 per book which MANY of them were not. It's almost double that price now for a Silver or Bronze age Economy sub isn't it?
  15. Nice! I, personally, always thought the US one was over valued but somehow I don't feel the same way about the Novaro one. Is that weird?
  16. It wouldn't be so bad if they hadn't just bragged about having graded 2 million comics. That's $30,000,000 if you figure it at the old rate of $15 per book on moderns. I'm sure they're not cheap but you would think they could spring for at least one more slabbing machine so that when they're doing on-site grading production isn't reduced due to the transit time of sending one to and from a con leaving only one running back in Florida.
  17. Now I want some chicken. Yeah I know it's 3:15 in the morning here but it still sounds good.
  18. These came in today. More Neal Adams foreign goodness!
  19. This came in today. I was able to get it with some help from Chespirito. (thumbs u
