  1. Great taste in foreigns..... of the bunch my opinion is that the Greek Xmen #1 is the rarest and most difficult to find! With the Mexican Avengers a close second.... What werewithal of the greeks to use the classic Xmen 94 artwork for there #1 issue! There's actually another one of the Avengers on ebay right now. Link The Greek X-Men #1 I picked up because it was dirt cheap. About a month later I saw another seller that had like 5 or 6 copies for sale for more than I paid but not by much. At the time I figured it must be a more common issue so I didn't snag any of them.
  2. Here's today's installment. This is the last of what I've got other than some pence copies of Ghost Rider & Marvel Spotlight.
  3. It's in really nice shape...I couldn't believe it. I'll scan it and post it later on. I read the story as well, and I have to say the translation is terrible. Read it? Isn't that supposed to be the silent issue? How do you mis-translate that?
  4. Holy spoon dude..... you found the 1st swamp thing Mexican Novaro! Never have I seen it for sale.... and I search all the Mercado Libre countries sites regualry for this book? Its pretty rare.... nice set of Bats too! You have for sure cought the foreign bug..... now I am warning you its gonna make you real sick the further down the rabbit hole you go! Sorry to hear about your job situation... If you like these just wait until that batch comes back from CGC. There's even better stuff there. (thumbs u
  5. Here's some more of mine. I was lazy about scanning them and didn't remove them from the bags. The ones with the green boxed off areas have been prepped for Signature Series, they just haven't been subbed yet. I need to find a job before I can start sending them off. I do have a 20 book submission of Adams stuff (mostly foreigns) at CGC right now that were sent before I became unemployed.
  6. I'd just like to thank you to everyone from CGC who worked the booth at C2E2 this past weekend. Everyone was incredibly helpful and patient even when things were at their craziest on Saturday. You all did a great job.
  7. Here's some I've acquired from the UK and Australia. I've got a bunch more from Central & South America and Europe that I haven't had a chance to scan yet but will post them when I do. UK Out of this World #17 reprints Amazing Fantasy #15. For the record I am NOT the ebay seller with the Creepy Worlds #32 listed for $49,999. Australia I don't know how scarce most of the foreign editions I have are but I'm definitely enjoying collecting more than I have in a long time.
  8. Since I started collecting foreign editions condition in general has, at least in my mind, become a non-issue. In most cases I'm perfectly content to find a copy at all.
  9. Great article. I'm a Signature Series collector myself, I just got into foreign variants in the last year or so. The reason being, I want to build a collection of comics that no one else can duplicate. There are so many collections out there that contain books like Hulk 181, Spidey 121 & 122 / 12 etc. even SS copies. I've taken it a step further by narrowing my focus to mainly SS foreign editions. I won't be able to get them all done due to cash flow but here's a few I've got so far. Sorry about the large pics, I don't currently have those two uploaded to photobucket. I've got a bunch more raw foreign stuff that I'll post pics of when I get a chance.
  10. For price reductions. I'll be adding more books today as well. New books have been added. (thumbs u

  12. Hey look! It's my unemployment sale! http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=5589794&fpart=1
  13. Brian and I worked out a great trade during the Signature Series Trade Weekend. Nice job of packaging and he shipped fast. I'm looking forward to doing more in the future.
  14. Here's a few Caps I picked up during the SS Trade Weekend.
  15. CONGRATS! Never seen that CREEPY cover before...why...that's...just...CREEPY! I know the publisher did at least FF #1-6. I've got 3 of them and am always on the lookout for the others.
  16. This is why I love this place. I can't make it to the shows and the people here allow me to get sketches and signed items despite the fact that I am trapped in NW Arkansas. I either can't afford the trip itself or can't take the time off of work to go. Either way, I still get to put items in my collection that I wouldn't otherwise be able obtain without paying hefty markups. The odds of me ever attending a show where Frank Miller, Neal Adams, or Joe Sinnott are going to appear are about 0. The odds I can get something from them through the people here? At least 50/50 and usually a heck of a lot better than that. I can say right now that I scored three sketches this weekend for the same price that I would have been lucky to pay to get one of those sketches on eBay. That is thanks to the friends I have here. I fully understand not wanting to see stuff wind up on eBay and such, but at the same time some artists are actually alienating their fans. Agreed sir. (thumbs u
  17. Thanks! I've got another one from the same publisher that reprints Avengers #1 and some others from a different publisher reprinting other Marvel keys like FF #1, 2 & 5 / AF 15 & ToS #39. I think they're pretty cool.
