  1. Totally agree with you. The potential of Preacher has not been tapped yet. Bong Boy gets 1 more season to get it right, and hopefully he does.
  2. PGM: SPEED COMICS #31 Cover presents well, but was curious how this book overall would grade? The 2nd half of the pages as seen on back cover, upper right, is missing a corner, about 1/2-3/4th of an inch, which doesn't effect story, but how would it effect the overall grade? Book is complete, cover attached, centerfold attached. Minor spine roll, a few abraisions in cover, pages browning on edges.
  3. I'm looking for opinions on how this would grade as I'm still learning about how flaws in Golden Age books effect the grade and wanted to get some expert opinions, and also to give me an idea of value as I might be selling this one soon. Flaws I see that I was curious about. The book is missing 1 page that effects the Terry Vance story. Also the cover is detached as seen in the photos below. Book presents very well with nice color, but the pages are showing signs of brittleness at the top and sides. Front cover has about 1/2 chunk missing from cover to the right of the Torch. General wear/lines on cover and spine. Also has pencil initials EM in the M of Marvel at the top.
  4. I'm all out of Sketch Gamora 9.8's at the moment.

  6. Any time I can buy a Disney related property cheap I will. I just suggested another team to look at. The other guys ran with it. Hey, I still buy Scooby Doo books. What's wrong with me? I'm not doing this right.
  7. They haven't given up ordering them, they've merely given up offering them for sale. I see them for sale on Ebay through their account later.
  8. I've been hooked since issue #1. One of the best comics in years IMHO. Recommend to my friends! ALL 3 of them!!!
  9. Checchetto is the latest name pushed aboard the speculator hype train. Vince McMahon would be proud.
  10. Beware 9, from May 1954 (if in doubt, there's always the rather awesome Grand Comics Database). It's pre-code all right. The absence of a certain Comics Code Authority stamp in the top right corner also confirms that. Plus the mention of a vampire, a skeleton driver, the words "weird" and "eerie" on the cover, etc. all definitely verboten post-code (well, until the early 1970s at least). Thank you. I bought it with no research outside of looking at the cover and thinking it looked pretty cool.
  11. Just picked this one up, not 100% it's pre-code. Going to have to research.
  12. Just ran into these in a collection, not sure on scarcity as romance books are new to me
  13. I just sold like 15 copies in my sales thread. I have no problem selling this book in any grade. probably because it's drawn well and hilarious.. I love it
  14. Everyone stop! The horizon is that thing in the back. Absolutely, and never listen to a guy named Pinky Lee. What the hell could he possibly know. :) It's also a realtime, open-source backend for JavaScript app
  15. It is, but this one has surpassed it recently: Batmans #655 Variant Both of those books will be highly sought after. Wise to buy them now. They have both just about passed the point where I will invest in them. Appreciation is different at $100 or more for me. The books have to have something really special to keep me interested past the price for unslabbed. Give it time. Huge news on the horizon
