  1. I graded 5 of them, all came back 9.6 - CGC wouldn't tell me why. I do see the top/bottom spine being split due to it's size, so perhaps that's it. I keep looking for 9.8 copies, but it's a tough book.
  2. Don't think you could press that and improve it much. Bingo, those books aren't pressable, stock is the cardboard type, and you can't get enough pressure on the corners to get anything out. Good price though FWIW, got a few in, they pressed out really well. Gonna grade them now. Really? I got two and one didn't even have the corner ding. Yep, graded 9.8 too! For those that aren't aware...stiffer cardboard covers CAN be pressed (Enormous, DKIII, etc)...they just have to be pressed carefully, and they don't respond as well. You can EASILY destroy a cardboard cover beyond redemption. Want to give my two a shot? Sorry, but I'm too busy to take on any extra work right now. What tier did you use for grading? You were going to send them in on the 22nd and you have a pic on the 4th. 7 business days to ship, grade and have them shipped back? Express, I had a buyer already willing to pay for a 9.8+

  6. I happen to believe Monstress is an absolutely gorgeous book with an enthralling story and just slightly under the radar of most. I most definitely believe it has potential to be in demand months down the road if they keep this level of storytelling and art up. I based that information on my own understanding after picking the book up. Take it for what it is, my opinion. NOW GO TO MY EBAY LINK AN BUYS THEMS!!!
  7. I don't like Ben Afflack. I have a hard time watching him as Bruce Wayne. I'm waiting to see the film before passing any judgement on it as a whole, and if Batman wasn't my favorite DC character, I'd bypass this film altogether simply due to them casting Ben Afflack as Bruce Wayne, but even given that, I gotta say the Lex Luthor looks insipid, Doomsday looks like a Ninja Turtle, and Wonder Woman looks dreamy. I'll see the film and hopefully they have crafted a comic book movie that hasn't been done before and I enjoy the hell out of it.
  8. Are we sure that's Doomsday? Looks like Donnatello to me.
  9. Early speculation buys are down, but when the movie hits the masses, sales will explode. Star Wars mania will be in full effect. I've seen it many times in my lifetime. That is unless the movie totally sucks farts, but I doubt Disney would ever let that happen. They have too much money riding on this golden pony.
  10. Copies of WD #100 are flying off the Bay. I always thought it was NAYGAN, not KNEEgahn..
  11. Warlock is a solid pickup right now. That was not his cocoon in Guardians according to James Gunn (he would know).... If you've read the books, you know Warlock is vital to the potential stories going forward. My Advice at any price, pick up every Warlock book you can find.
  12. I think all preacher back issues will heat up. Good pickups!
  13. Yes, and on November 1st after the 1st Preacher trailer airs, you'll see similar things happen with Preacher books.
  14. What a great read. Loved everything about it. The bright yellow cover, the interior art, the dialogue, the action, the delivery of newspapers. It was a rock solid start to a great adventure.
  15. Not at my shop, EVERYBODY knew about this title and were grabbing it. There were only 3-4 left on the shelf after I left and I only bought 1 to read. Note: Pinky Lee missed the Saga train as well.
  16. Hip Hop Family Tree #1 6,627 TV Series, tiny print run, good spec pick IMHO And yes, there is a FCBD issue you should be on the lookout for as well which pre-dates this #1
