I did an analysis on it compared to other major Silver Age Super heroes first appearances, it has the second least graded, Showcase # 4 i believe is first. This comparison has also included Marvel first appearances. That's right. Showcase 4 is about 30% less available than SC22, but SC22 stampedes SC4 in demand. Mid 50's to early 60's DCs are much more scarce than Marvels. On the other hand, Marvel has captured a larger audience to absorb all the supply. Showcase 22 are selling quickly this week and demand is strong. Four reported copies sold: raw 3.5-4.5, restored 6.0, one 4.5 ow, and peewee2 7.5 ow/w. From the price list, once it reaches 5.0, the prices jumps about 40%. Everyone still think pressed books sell for as much as unpressed counterparts? It's not the pressing that knocked the book down in value. The market is turning on us... Exactly. The MC buyer over paid at $4K+ when the book was worth about $2500. Using his initial price point, he figured a 9.2 was worth $6-7K. Unfortunately for him, the market thought differently. I think you're saying... "He fed the monkey and watched it chit !"

Thanks. I wasn't pushed to sell it but I feel it's the right thing to do for the misses, fam, etc. I mean, how many misses would let us purchase a super key AF15? I had to work on this one. We're both in the prime earning years of our lives so we're a-saving & a-spending. She just remodeled the kid's bedroom so it's give and take. Long and short. I'll 4-ever miss this book but now it's time to get back in the lion pit and hunt a "nice but cheaper" version of a 22. I'm pretty sure there's a LG'er with WPs out there (< 5.0). Am I correct Rich? There is another white pager and it's a 2.5 universal grade. It's probably embedded in someone's collection out there. Maybe it will show up in the future. I wonder what PQ are Aman's copy? Get it graded. It would present well and preserve it. I think it will come back a .5 or possibly a 1.0 if complete. (thumbs u It's Complete and I'm not expecting it would come back more than a 1.0 and even feel it may come back a .5 as said. I just want to have it presented well and preserved so that no more damage occurs.
