  1. Welcome to the club. Definitely looks better than a 3.0 from the scans. Many thanks. I tend to be harder on the grading that they actually are. that way, i never set myself up for disappointment ... 8) From the scan...I'll give it a 4.0-4.5. (thumbs u

  3. Welcome to the club! SC22 is a great book to own.
  4. SC22 has been such a difficult book in 7.5+...and a 9.2 is definately a possibility...but a 9.4 will be once in a blue moon. Now...open the floodgate...
  5. Which copy does peewee have? I know my raw copy was pressed and I believe it is in a 9.0 holder but not 100% sure without seeing. Also, I have a friend that hmmost definitely has a raw 9.2/9.4. It is just about perfect, though I have only seen it through a fortress Gator, so there are three 9.0s...Comiclink copy which sold in 2006, Gary Keller copy, and Peewee's copy. If you can confirm it's received a 9.0 grade, then it's highly likely Peewee's copy. I did remember in the 1990's a high grade SC22 sold by Pacifice Comics Exchange in a fortress holder...still no 9.2.
  6. All three are great SA DC keys. Now when are you going to add a nice SC22 copy. Possibly sometime soon if prices drop far enough. To be honest, my focus now is on building up some $$$ for another big drop in the markets. Long term SC22 and BB28 has been doing quite well. For SC4 in <6.0 in been doing just as well. Time will tell...
  7. Nice multiple batches which you don't see too often.

  9. Hey, they're about to release a Blue-Ray of the movie and a new animated series. I dunno, maybe this and the new launch in the DC "52" could reignite fan interest. That is great news, but I just don't think this copy will hit above $65K for the seller to break even..
  10. I agree Rich. With the hype low, it may go in the lower 40s. Not good for my copy but I always buy the book not the label. Your copy is sweet!
  11. Go for this copy...so Dad and son will own two of the highest graded copies in the world.
  12. The Gary Keller copy and why now, the seller will take a hit.
  13. The last 7.0 has better PQ and sold for $9K and I sense this copy will sell for less...7.0+ has been quite difficult to score.
  14. Thanks all! Another great addition to my Superman collection.
  15. Thanks to swapto...picked this up for the collection. It contains something special inside.
  16. S22 has always been in high demand. long before a flick was in infancy. Rich (showcase22gr1959) should be able to tell you what 7s are going for. I just don't see it sell less than $5K...will be interesting.
  17. #6 or not, it's still going to go for a fat premium. Presents nicely and gets the job done, so yeah, it'll be interesting to see where the hammer lands at the end. Ends tomorrow night... it's up to $2,952 right now. Final bid $3,356. Did anyone here win? that would be me....... Now can someone please buy my tec 37 ? Congratulations John! What a pick-up! hey I have you to thank as well for helping me go for it , even though I will miss you new baby but sometimes we need to sacrifice Awesome pick up John!!!!! Awesome for sure!
  18. Too much materials...opportunity for collectors..
  19. The market does not value chipped copy as similar as non-chipped copy. Of course...overall eye appeal is important.
  20. You've meant the book. Many other books has pulled back recently too.
  21. Realistically, that chip on the top right hurt the eye appeal. Right now the FMV for a 4.0 is around 1400-1600 and a 4.5 1600-1800. If that copy had better PQ....a bit more. This copy $1600-1700.
