  5. I think a few of us should, what' the worst that could happen? I'd love a reply alone, even if he just said, 'leave me alone', haha. I'm thinking of getting a group of fans together to go to his house and publicly confront him until he signs a bunch of autographs. If that fails, I'm thinking a paper sack full of dog with a crude drawing of spider-man on it might do the trick. No need to light it...one look at the spidey figure should send him into a fit of rage. I'm in
  6. Do most ASM 129's have that rolled spine ? My copy has that too Didnt realize it was so common
  7. Love that Batman 1! Man, where do u guys get all the money ? My wife has a problem with me spending too much on comics, let alone dedicating a whole room to the hobby
  8. Well, what confuses you about it? The fact that the paintings sometimes don't look like much yet go for large sums? 99.99% of the art got destroyed and all that's left are these commissioned paintings done after the fact. So if you want a barks pen and ink the pickings are beyond slim and the prices sometimes just as steep as the paintings. The paintings sometimes aren't the best in my view (he was a much better line art artist than he was a painter ) but if you want something by one of the masters of comic book art and storytelling, its pretty much all you can get. There's some heavy hitters that are into barks and would no doubt love a painting. I love barks a ton myself but could never pay this kind of dough for one even if I could easily afford it. Thanks for the explanation
  9. I don't understand the Carl Barks duck market Can somebody explain it to me ?
