  1. I was under the impression that they no longer are requiring you to physically sign for your packages due to COVID. I think the driver is actually authorized to sing for you. The last time I had a package scanned and lost by the post office, they actually take a picture with their scanner as they are scanning it. Maybe Fedex can do some digging and figure it out. Best of luck and hopefully it gets found.
  2. Remember, them entering them into the system is the same thing as PSA Research and ID. They are probably getting a lot of orders and it takes time for them to go and make sure that what you put on the sheet is correct. Not to mention the lazy people who cannot even identify their own cards and send in 50 or 100 cards for them to research on their own. Even then, they are still making turnaround times. PSA can't do anything timely and according to the emails they send out to their club members, they aren't going to address them any time in the near future.
  3. Care to elaborate how you are intimately aware of the backlog? I'm not seeing consistantly late returns. I mentioned in another post that they will get backed up just SGC did, but haven't noticed it yet.
  4. I'm not saying that you should have to wait. I'm saying that it is just what is going to happen. Once the word gets around more that CSG is as good or better than the other grading companies out there, people will start flooding them with cards. They will be just like SGC. Their wait times will get longer as they hope they can some how keep up. They will not be able to and will then start to hire and train more people but that will take time. SGC was flooded with cards, wait times went to the moon. I think they ended up having to move to a new facility, hire and train a bunch of employees, discontinue group submissions, and finally after PSA opened back up, their wait times returned to normal. HGA is only able to meet turnaround times because they limit the amount of cards submitted. PSA and BGS have done nothing and we won't see our cards for 6 to 9 months if not longer. I want CSG to succeed and they will, but there will be some bumps here in the beginning until they can figure out the right balance of employees compared to the average number of submissions.
  5. I know it might seem to defy logic but, in my opinion, you have to try not to compare the different grading companies. Each company has it's own characteristics that appeal to the collectors. We all saw how successful BGS was at one point with being the only company to have subgrades. When you look at a PSA 9, why did it get that? The biggest thing I can think that easily could be corrected is a fingerprint on a chrome card. If my surface got an 8 and it's because of a fingerprint, I can crack it, clean it off and resubmit it with hopes I get a higher grade. With PSA or SGC, you don't know. How do you make yourself a better submitter? If I know what 10 corners are versus 9.5 corners I can hopefully increase my gem rate. That is what we should be looking to send in. Not just whatever we pull that has an RC label on it. There is value in those four subgrades and with value comes higher selling prices.
  6. Heck, I've got 3 orders at PSA that were sent in October. One Standard and 2 Bulk. One of my Bulk orders still just says shipped to PSA according to PCSportsCards. They haven't even acknowledged that they have received it.
  7. I would have full confidence that whatever grader you choose would not purposely switch your card out for another. Just look at whichever company you think will benefit you the most. PSA does sell for more than all others but like mentioned, you will either have to wait a long time or pay a large amount for faster service. The other grading companies will create value for your cards at a reasonable price and have your cards back to you in a decent timeframe.
  8. I will say that CSG has become my go to grader but we all need to realize that it is only a matter of time before they get significantly backed up. Collectors want their cards graded as fast as possible. Look at what happened to SGC during the pandemic. If you read some of the other threads here you will see people who are talking about sending in hundreds of low end cards at a time just looking to rip and flip. Just realize that you are going to have to deal with longer wait times no matter who you decide to go with.
  9. The size is identical to PSA. I even have put some of my CSG graded cards in the Superior Fit sleeves (both the thinner and thicker versions) that are made for PSA as well as the sleeves that are made for CGC trading cards.
  10. My personal feelings, I have requested subgrades on all my cards. Even with the subgrades, your price is still lower than most other grading companies out there. It looks better, the buyer feels more comfortable with his purchase, and it's cheaper. No brainer.
  11. I understand the desire to run in and flip your cards as quick as possible, but considering I am not a rip and flip guy, I hope they raise their prices to equal what everyone else is doing. That way it will price you guys out of the market and bring down the wait times. To be honest, I don't have to hope. You guys are going to do it yourselves. Look at what happened to SGC when they said send us your cards. BGS won't even tell you how long it takes, and PSA has my standard order that originally should have been done in 30 days since October. You don't get to complain about how long it takes when you caused this backlog.
  12. I think it's really up to you and what you have planned for them in the future. If you want to keep them and create more value from them then you have to let them go and trust the grading company with your cards. If you are not reall interested in collecting, now is as good a time as any to sell them considering the market for nice, unaltered vintage cards is crazy.
