2020 Topps Update Trent Grisham CSG 9.5 I'm very concerned about the grading of this card the lower left corner is chewed up pretty badly and the upper right corner is not that great and it got a 9.5???? I almost bought it until i zoomed in on the pic. Bruh...it's a 7 at best. Go check it out and give me your thoughts on this grade. Dont forget to scroll over the pic so it enlarges.

I bought a lot of 2020 Topps UK Edition. Almost all of my cards have edges issues. I'd say 75% where the cardboard flakes off and removes material on the back edge. Sometimes is seriously bad other times its a little damage. I also bought a ton of 2020 Topps now around the time the Rookie of the year cards were coming out If you tilt the card 45 Degrees to the right you will see lines on the right half of the card. Once you see them you cant unsee them. So i have a ton of Arozarena, Lewis, Robert cards that are trash. I didn't notice the lines until i was pre inspecting for submission. month of 5/21. Than i statred looking for the lines on other Topps now cards. I can see the lines in all my Topps now cards. It's definatly from a machine because they look like roller marks. Check your Topps Now Cards under a 5x Glass with plenty of light. Look on the Right half on the card top to bottom. You will most likely see the them.

Can i submit 2020 Topps Uk Non Player Cards
Greg Christiansen replied to Greg Christiansen's topic in Ask CGC Cards – Sports
They are sports cards. They come in the 2020 Topps UK edition packs. They are definitely not in the Pokemon/magic genre...I don't know if yall have graded any 2020 Topps UK Edition baseball cards but they like inserts in baseball packs. Theyre are about 2 dozen of these UK cards in the Baseball card packs. It looks exaclty like a 2020 Topps UK baseball bard but with UK related people and places. Like Big Ben, Princess Diana, Roman Baths, The Eye (Ferris Wheel) Charles Darwin etc.... -
Looks like the whole Thicker cards in April thing is out the window. Must be part of the Guaranty...not the Guarantee.

Does csg authenticate autographs?

The shame is they only grade autos that are ALREADY certified -
Adding Subgrades
Greg Christiansen replied to ih181's topic in Newbie Sports Card Collecting Questions
Sub Grades ...not for me. With PSA being the most popular grading company and does not offer sub grades...what's the point. I find it hilarious when people say get sub grades. The odds are very low that it will score a 10. Very very low...an the only time someone would really care is if you se 10s across the board and even then the card will still say PERFECT 10, at which point the 4 10s...wouldn't really matter. but it's up to you. -
55pt and 75pt cards accepted?
Greg Christiansen replied to Bomba Squad Breaks's topic in Ask CGC Cards – Sports
April has two days left...better get on those thicker card holders. So far the only think I've noticed is Guaranty is not Guarantee. -
Guarantee, n. The promise that an act will be carried out or a condition will be fulfilled {I will give you a written guarantee that the brief will be filed on time}. Guaranty, n. The promise to pay the debt or fulfill the obligation of another if that person fails to do so {the father signed a guaranty for his son’s car loan}. Guaranty formerly functioned also as a verb—a variant of guarantee—but that form is now obsolete. Guaranty should now be used only in its modern legal sense, as a noun.

That's what he does... old horror type art normally...now it's just mixed with MLB. One of my favorite movies growing up was return of the living dead. I can see the relation. -

Important Reminder: "Please note that the fee updates will apply to CSG Online Submission Forms completed on or after April 28, 2021. The new fees will simply be reflected in the prices listed on the form. Submission forms completed before April 28, 2021, must be delivered to CSG’s facility by May 28, 2021, to qualify for the old pricing." I think this was supposed to say on or before April 28, 2021 -

Only time will tell if it's a poor player choice...as of right now..the card has the highest ceiling since the project started. It's a true rookie card and Hayes has all the potential/results a team could ask for. A few awards the next couple years and this card goes for hundreds. Maybe thousands. -

The raise was so fast considering they just opened. Like they have no idea what they're doing. but PSA closed blah blah blah......they need another location on the west coast to absorb the demand and if they were smart at all...one in Texas. It's not like the costs wont cover them selves. Pay if off the first month. I like being able to send in old cards for 8.00... and not care that it grades an 8. I'm keeping it. you know. They need to do junk wax specials, no joke. All things considered junk wax all in all isn't really a large portion of the industry. That being said...I'm going to submit all my cards before the dead lines. ...i hope you're ready CSG. It's going to be a long weekend for me at the computer -
I wipe them down with gloves on using a micro fiber cloth. front and back check the corners. I check the edge holing the card perpendicular to my eyeball under 5x magnification. I have a large reject pile due mostly to centering and edges being too rough to expect a 9 or better due to a bad cut at the factory. FYI really check your 2021 Heritage cards my biggest problem is the left bottom side. from the bottom to about 1.5" up.

10X is extreme. If you need 10x to grade a surface...wtf...???? you may as well go 100X and get down to the microscopic level and grade the damn tree the paper is made from. I feel sorry for all the people, including my self sending in 80s and 90s cards. A pristine 10 early 90s card is a CSG 8...you got to be Sh!tting me.

Quick Submit needs to stop!
Greg Christiansen replied to Mclipers-Ebay's topic in Ask CGC Cards – Sports
To be Honest there should be a MAX to the bulk Minimum of 50 Max of 100. To get orders though. Sort of like the max availability at target to purchase cards. It would force the submitter to pick their top 100 per submission. Like we all should. I personally keep it about 80% Ultra Modern Baseball, 20% anything else. -
