  1. I really enjoyed it. My family of 6 thought it was great. The theater was full, which I always find annoying for personal reasons, but it was one of the better movie experiences I've had in a while. Great popcorn flick, lots of actual laughs, I give it a solid A!
  2. My pocketbook is very grateful that Hero decided to roll out a "klunker" or at least a book/art I'm not personally crazy about. That being said, if you'll notice, Hero does a good job of spreading around their 100 projects to different publishers. My guess is that keeps Hero from "going to the well too often" with the big 2. Also, since the artists who donate their work don't get paid, (even though Hero Initiative does benefit the medium), Hero has to be careful not to burn those bridges either. All in all I will probably not buy nearly as many of these as I otherwise would in previous projects, but it's still a great cause to support and I'm sure I will bag a few here and there!
  3. Sounds like the American way, "build up your heroes, tear them down, build them back up again". I've been with WD since the start, still love the book, and will stick with it till whatever end it deserves.
  4. I saw this with my son Thursday, the theater had a total of ten people in it, which was surprising but anyways; I did enjoy it, it was dark, and not psychologically, actually dark, tough to see a lot of the movie. It was also kinda slow moving. Like someone said in an earlier post, it wasn't that it was bad, it just wasn't that good either and I'm not sure exactly why. I don't believe it's SW fatigue or anything like that, I think it's just not a great movie, and I think that's the problem. I remember when Rouge One came out to lackluster reviews and some bad initial difficulties early on, but the cream rose to the top and people came around and saw it. If this movie was anywhere near as good as Rouge One people would line up to see it, no doubt in my mind. BTW, I still think "The Last Jedi" was a total piece of bantha poodo and I'm amused by those who continue to defend it. It sucked.
  5. IMHO, the Yellow label/SS crowd needs a shot in the arm. A John Byrne SS opportunity would give the SS program a much needed boost. CGC should get off the sidelines and see about doing a legit CGC signing with everything laid out so there is no confusion or sparring match with Mr. Byrne. It could be a high profile enough signing to give the SS program a nice spotlight, that if handled right, these creators who don't fully understand the SS program could get some much needed information.
  6. This was my first deal with Phil, Picked up a super nice WD #1, deal and communication were as smooth as could be, buy/sell with confidence!! Thanks again!
  7. If that was the cover, that book would be worth double what it is now! IMHO
  8. Speaking of which.... https://www.ebay.com/itm/ETERNALS-1-CGC-9-8-WP-Marvel-Comics-76-Jack-Kirby-Origin-1st-app-NOT-RARE/282929048934?epid=85371374&hash=item41dfe2ad66:g:lK0AAOSw0Lha1eI5
  9. So, is there something fueling this?? I'm pretty blown away by these prices and was just wondering is there something pushing these numbers or is it simply a realization of the small print run and availability thus making a "price correction" similar to HOS 92? Either way it's kinda crazy IMHO....
  10. Thanks Ben, I just noticed he mentioned the retailer copy, I'm looking for the one that sold earlier. Both would be awesome, but the C2E2 version is the priority. Thanks Ben, have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!
