  1. I think I have about 30 copies of #1 and I haven't even thought about selling them. I'm holding them for now? All 9.8 candidates. Gotta love dcb I'm also in the same boat... with a 100 copies and 6 possible 9.9 's all from DCBS. They are the way to go when you what 50% off cover. You really can't beat 'em. My next would be TFAW, Midtown last. I see this book following the same trend Saga did!
  2. How 'bout instead of sullying a thread of ultra-rare, impossible-to-find books, you take these common error books somewhere else... That was both insulting to the poster and totally uncalled for. No kidding! fufat70, you can PM Valiantman and he will know. He started a thread on the Valiantfans forum that discussed this in detail - with examples. Thanks guys for the support, and also for the tip!! I'll send him a PM.
  3. How 'bout instead of sullying a thread of ultra-rare, impossible-to-find books, you take these common error books somewhere else... So.... what your trying to say is... being that this error book is common, I can assume you have one in your collection. How am I tarnishing this thread. I'm presenting comic book related information to share and also to learn about. Thats what I feel this site is for. If you don't like what I upload to share you have every right to ignore my posts. I don't come on here to impress what I own, I search this site to learn about books I never knew existed.
  4. 3 variants of this, Standard, Gold & Ivory. None are particularly rare or valuable Yeah... I know many people have these including myself but the one in the middle I never came across until recently, be it a variant or an error.
  5. Hey guys I came across this book last week at a local show and thought it was interesting. Does anyone have a copy of this version of X-O. The logo has an aluminum look to it. I put the regular, aluminum look and ivory logos next each other so it could be seen easier.
  6. Thanks for your help, I guess I'll just store it away. I found this book within a large collection I acquired. Being that it is faded I guess it lost its value. I paid .20 for the book so, I really can't complain.
  7. Thanks for your input Kevin, thats possible. Would all the colors on Ernie fade to a blue hue, like for instance if the book was baking in the sun could the light turn his brown jacket a bluish tint? Could it be a printing error of some sort? I might have to do an experiment this week on a book to really see. fufat
  8. Hi all, I know this is not the rarest book out there, but I noticed that it has a blacked out area on the upper right corner like where a comics code would be and there is a difference in color shading on Ernie's face. I hope some of you hardcore collectors could help me identify this comic. The other pic is from the internet for reference. Thanks in advance!!! Fufat [
  9. Yeah.... they probably have Grimace packing the books!!!
  10. That's why I'm so done with this company. I truly believe they reuse bags and boards because every order I receive has these boards that are bent/crushed at the corners, thus creasing my books. how hard is it to keep the books in decent condition inside the bag, they definitely lost my business. I go through TFAW or DCBS. So far no problems!!!! Fufat
  11. Hey guys, does anybody know when Dark Horse's property contract end for Star Wars books. I believe they are launching that new The Star Wars series this September. Fufat
  12. Don't get me wrong my comments don't mean to offend anyone here with the job talk and I appreciate the selling insights and opinions. I just find it annoying with the undercutting that is occurring in our hobby.
  13. Couldn't disagree with this statement more. So everyone who sells modern comics as they are released doesn't have a full time job? and are bottom feeders? No one forces anyone to make a purchase. If someone wants to pay XX over cover then let them. You miss my point, why sell a book for peanuts pay, it doesn't make sense, it makes people look desperate like they need to do this which leads me to believe they don't have a job. Because if I had one which I do, wasting my time making two dollars on a book doesn't seem like a worth while endeavor, which doesn't help the market in the long run. That's true, no one forces anybody to make a purchase but if the little of cover price didn't exist people would be buying it at a higher one. I own 100 copies of this book. Of the 100 copies, just how many will be sold now? 0. I invest for the long term and don't need to sell any because I have a job to pay the bills.
  14. To me... these people who flip right out of the gate and don't let the comic mature just to gain a dollar or two profit are truly BOTTOM FEEDERS!!! The only one making the money is Ebay. Geesh, are times that bad.... it might be time to find a real job. Sorry for venting but it really gets annoying when everyone tries to undercut someone for a quick buck. I hope we aren't heading toward darker times in this market.
  15. Especially when you get'em for $1.75. Sell at or just over cover for a 100% profit. Not my game, but this does go on. just like stocks I'm in it for the long run.
  16. This panic resembles what happens on the stock market. Another players game....
  17. Just arrived!!! Variant Cover to Alabaster Wolves #1
  18. Dynamic Forces = Buyer Beware!!!! Stay Away From This Company!!!! This company blows big time!!! Not only that they are really slow processing your order,I just received my orders for Bedlam #1's it took over 5 months! They charged $45.00 for shipping six cgc books from within the state. I live 1 1/2 hrs away I could of picked them up. They also tacked on another $15.00 so thats $60.00 for local shipping! Of coarse no reply to my email, There's nothing good coming out of this company. They reminder me of the old online Wizard store. Sorry guys for hijacking your thread, I guess I needed to vent. I hope all who purchased from this dirt bag company get a better experience
