  1. Just sold a New X-Men 128 and 129 for $25 in less than 24 hours.

Was leaving a shop the other day and decided to root through their dollar bins for some filler comics. Ending up finding Supergirl & the Legion of Superheroes #23 (Adam Hughest cover varient- pin-up of her on a meteor) and New X-Men 128 for a buck a piece.

  2. Signings at "Lost Angeles: 35 Days of Kevin Eastman" at Meltdown comics in Los Angeles:

December 2nd - Dan Duncan, Primary Artist for IDW's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be in our gallery signing with Kevin Eastman from 8-10pm. Come meet 2/3rds of the Creative Team of the new book and make them sign your stuff!

December 7th - Legendary Archie TMNT Adventures artist, Kevin Mitchroney will be here signing with Kevin Eastman from 7-9pm. Come meet Kenny at his first Turtles signing in over 15 years! A CGC Witness will be on hand for collectors who want to take advantage of this Signature Series opportunity!

Anyone here interested in seeing some pics of Kevin at the 11/30 gallery opening that was just held at Meltdown this week? Kevin is a really cool and nice guy to fans I have to say.

I stopped by to finally meet him after missing out on his signing at Long Beach Comic Con this year. There were a bung of OA for sale on the walls from his IDW comics, Heavy Metal stuff, a plaque with the very first TMNT prototype cover and investment check from his parents to start too.

  3. I figured this thread would be on fire. Is everyone still in shock?

Or is everyone just pissed at Yannis still?

Not shock for me, since I read the spoilers someone posted on this thread lol I gotta stop doing that! I just can't help myself.

Liking Shane even more after last night's episode, and even hating Dale that much more as well. Why would you even THINK of hiding the guns? Total bonehead move on Dale's part. He could have put everyone in the camp in danger just because he's pissy at Shane. His drama is becoming too much.

So what was the whole point in Dale hiding the guns in the swamp? I kinda got lost in why he was doing that. Was it to prevent Shane in getting the group to kill the barn zombies or something else?

  4. Couple of OA pick-ups at the Long Beach Comic Con.

    1. Supergirl #24, Pg. 9 by Drew Johnson. Had to get this since it had a Dolphin as a Green Lantern!

    2. Warblade vs. Damonite Monster preliminary drawing from Wildstorm Chamber of Horrors #1 by Bernie Wrightson. I couldn't pass up a chance for an original piece from the horror master.

If anyone has a scan of the page from this comic, I would appreciate it!

  5. I feel like they are spending to much time on this carl deal, but there may be a reason that I don't know about yet.

I'm betting he is revived in the next episode, but by the time they find that girl they have to hit her over the head - and it's all dramatic and emotional.

I can't believe they're stretching the missing Sophia girl for at least 3 episodes now. Now both kids are in dire circumstances. Guess it's not too hot to be a pre-teen on the WTD show (or a baby, per the scene of the bloody car seat...ack)!

  6. This find doesn't exactly fit the criteria for this thread, but it was such a fantastic collection of books I happened upon earlier this year that I had to share it. The story is that I was in a local comic store buying some bags and boards when a guy approaches me who said he overheard me mention that I had just bought some comics from someone. He then said he had several thousand comics that he would like to sell as they were taking up so much space in the house. I felt a little awkward as the store manager was also standing right there, but this fellow then says that he had offered the collection to them first (the store) and they had declined. I said definitely I would like to see them. When i go to this guys house a few days later, I arrive to find several boxes filled with dozens of large manilla envelopes, each labeled with a comic title and list of the run in that particular envelope- I soon realized that this guy had nearly every Marvel title and book printed between 1967 and 1976, or so. It was like Christmas morning when I was a kid as I opened envelope after envelope, discovering key books, high grade books, and nearly complete runs of books. We made a deal and I bought them. I doubt that I will ever top this find. These are the more notable books: MiscbooksfromPresy_0002.jpg[/img] MiscbooksfromPresy_0001.jpg[/img] MiscbooksfromPresy_0003.jpg[/img] MiscbooksfromPresy_0004.jpg[/img] MiscbooksfromPresy_0005.jpg[/img] MiscbooksfromPresy_0006.jpg[/img] :

Oh snap, so what was the price, The Price?!

  7. Finally had a chance to get my OA into some frames and onto my wall. Put together my Spectre retrospective up for now. Planning on switching up the theme every once in a while.

Digging on the 11x17 frames that are super-cheap at Michaels, just need to keep the pieces out of direct sunlight.

Also framed a blown-up copy of Mike Grell's Batman: Masque and a Green Lantern sketch by Dean Trippe on either side.

  8. BaronV, I may be selling the cover to Green Lantern #5 (Vol. 3) by Pat Broderick...let me know if you have interest...!

Thanks for the offer mnaulge, but I'm pretty much aiming for some MD Bright ED or the Green Lantern special pages since those were among my initial Green Lantern comics. I'm patient though, I've spent too much on some OA art this year that I should've backed off on.
