You can have that one for twice what I paid I actually haven't seen this book very often in high grade. I've seen the 17 a couple of times (heck, the Church copy is available at Metropolis for just $3K ) I bought the one I posted as a 6.0, and I think that is probably right. It has some paper lose and a little tearing at the staple that would prevent me from grading it higher. I think it looks pretty in the mylar though. I suspect that if I ever sell the Captain Midnights (all in VG to VF- or so) that I have been accumulating (I'm waiting for the movie ), that one will stay in my collection. It's my favorite Captain Midnight cover. is this a fersure raboy? would love to add it to my want-list. and great book, book by the way! The Cap Mid 11 above is a Raboy. The 13 is conjecture on my part with others disagreeing strongly. then why hasn't anyone p.m.'ed me to sell me one?

A book like that would look out of place in my collection. I'll find a nice 6.0-7.0 for 1/20 the price and be very happy with it.

I have one Rawhide Kid comic in my collection. It is a nice G/VG copy of this book. Lot's of general wear, but solidly intact. I have no idea where I got it. Scarce is an understatment for this book. That's one heck of a copy. Congratulations

I think that if I was a high dollar investor, I would be considering buying a copy of this book at this time. As you state, demand for this book is at a low ebb. However, I don't think that that is a permanent situation. Showcase 22 has been remarkably hot for the last few years, even though it is a much less important book than Showcase 4, and it is the first appearance of a second tier DC character as well. I think interest in the Flash right now is lower than Green Lantern, but I don't think that is permanent. These things ebb and flow based on the quality of the modern books, movie interest, etc. At some point I expect interest in the Flash to rise, and when it does I would expect Showcase 4 to rise in value compared to the other large keys from its current position. Note-- all this said, I don't see myself ever owning this book. The only real high dollar books I am targeting in my collection are AF15 and ASM1. I may never own those either though.

I think BATMANFAN should start several pressing threads in General to make everyone happy.

I don't think that would really serve as a draw back. There would just be a a lot more and posts in threads and new topics started about nothing to boost post counts I joined in July and I've seen people who joined the same time as me with thousands of posts already

I just got this one off Ebay. It's a nice looking book, but it has a 3/4 inch tear on the top back cover near the spine.

I suppose that this is technically Silver Age, but its my first early WW. I've decided that I want to collect a run of WW, probably from 80 - 110, because there are some really cool covers in that run. I bought this off of Ebay as a Fine, but I think it is just a nice looking 4.0. I bought it expecting a 4.0 though, so I'm pretty content.
