    It seems to me that there are about 4-5 collectors on various forums trying desperately to convince people there is a huge market difference for newstands. I have never actually seen it, beyond those 4-5 collectors, but that's just my (also, they get really defensive when you question whether there is actually a market for them)

    I believe this guy more than RL. They can't print that many because it would negate variants and subsequent prints (not to mention some bit of scarcity in the market increases hype and desirability - a little collector psychology 101). From the article, it sounds like they are including variants and the projected reprints in the numbers?
