  1. I would say yes. Several sales between $700 and $800 for blue 9.8. I think it is in the process of settling in at around $750.
  2. I bumped some threads that got pushed down by the massive BotB bump-fest. I am all for people getting that going again, but it pushed almost everything else way down.
  3. Maybe those guys were with Ketterer when he garnered his "astronomically remote" CGC 10.

  5. The real winner is.... Death of Jean De-Wolffe the Sin Eater Saga. Death of Jean DeWollfe and Kraven's Last Hunt are one and two and everything else is light years behind.
  6. What did they say? They said "Suck it, dude. But that is a sweet leather coat."
  7. Don't forget to do this. I have found a lot of local comic book store owners to be a real wellspring of information about the interstices of the OA market.
  8. I have not. I stopped reading Uncanny soon after the Siege Perilous challenged my ability to keep my gorge down. I never really read X-Men. I speced some mutant books when the artists got, but never read them. I read New X-Men for a couple of years when Grant Morrison took over and I really enjoyed Astonishing for the first 25 or so issues. For me, the glory era of X-Men was between GS1 and UXM121. That is the essence of comic books and my childhood connection to them.
  9. And this shows how little sales have often to do with quality. You could always see that the characters in Excalibur had feet, I'll say that for it.
  10. Bronty, you are a prince of a man. I'm glad I saw this after you responded.
  11. I never engage in conjecture about speculation. You just never know what is out there. I once saw an entire longbox of Spectre 1s from 1968. They had been water damaged and were worthless, but the fact that at one point there was a longbox of those Spectres means that anything could be hoarded and waiting to be unleashed. Don't even get me started on the longbox of UHG SME15s . . .
  12. The week that GOTG 1 came out, there were still NM 87 on the shelf of the comic shop I sold a Hulk 181 to in South Bend. I got 10 GOTG 1 and 5 or 6 NM 87 thrown in to the deal. I think they were about three months apart in publish dates. 87 was just starting to get a little spec buzz, but 86 was hotter at that point. Infinitely hotter. Enjoy my anecdotes!
  13. You are going to either find a cheap BIN on ebay or mannup and pay. POS ASM 300's and NM 98's sell for $50+ on ebay all day long. Thanks, but what is "POS"? "Mannup" is not so clear as well… POS is "piece of feces" Mannup is what Mitch Mehdy does every morning just getting out of bed.
  14. That's the only other one I can think of. Kind of sad for such a popular character. Agreed. The fact that it is just a revamp, and not a "cut from new cloth" character, and also the fact that Nightwing was a retread from the "Nightwing and Flamebird" Superman series is what I attribute to the non-breakout nature of the character.
  15. What is the protocol for someone posting blatantly wrong, and misleading, GPA information? Say for example, citing a single SS (sketched) sale at over $475 but not mentioning that 3 other SS sales have taken place at less than $125? Or failing to state that there is a GPA for a Q copy, when it is actually a Q copy? Just hypothetically, of course.
