  1. I have a feeling this thread will keep on keeping on . . .
  2. Yeah, think about it. It wasn't like the whole thing forced him to shut down his comic selling operation. It only caused him to shift his comic selling operation from Matt to Bat-Man.
  3. The seller said he had a personal P.M. with you, I assume to explain the situation. Mind telling us what the explaination was. Alot of boardies would like to hear it I'm sure. DRX It was just that he thought i would not pay after the deposit ( well i dont give $500 to just anybody but...) I had the money within a few days of the deposit well befor batman said he bought the book so yes i got screwed. That is f-ing ridiculous.
  4. If you are talking about sketch covers, then I agree with you. And the reasoning is twofold: (1) A lot of the people who regularly do sketch covers (Fred, Arjuna, SecretSon, Comicjunkie etc.) are mainly doing them for themselves. It is a labor of love. Most of them would move almost anything else before they started moving sketch covers; (2) Sketch covers are a low margin item. They require a heavy input of time capital and cash capital to get done. And then a large portion of what you can sell them for is recouping initial costs. PLus what if it is not a popular subject, or artist, or the work is not great? Why spend all the time and money on sketch covers to flip when you just need to stay on top of the hottest variants and new books, get them Yellow or blue labeled and flip the 9.8s for tall coin.
  5. Now is not the time to sell for vintage. If vintage stuff and vintage multisigned books continue to get harder and harder to get, why sell now? For modern stuff, the best stuff is out there in droves, nearly always on here first, then off to the 'Bay.
  6. Good points! This is my favorite new dillhole logic FAIL. We are all comic nerds, but someone accidentally must have snuck his comics into his Astin Martin right under Beyonce's nose.
  7. Because the lameness just drips off this whole deal when the only reason you want to make good is so you can sell the same books.
  8. We could be the undercard in a battle of Dozens. A game of wit, vulgarity, and creativity. I will slay you. I give you the edge in the dozens. Your vulgarity knows no bounds.
  9. We're good. It would be an undercard battle of the smartasses. I'm just a widdle guy so no worries, and it would be nice, for the people.
  10. Yeah, but unless he is tough like Epic Beard Man, he's got his advanced age to overcome.
  11. I can't believe Mike Miles is the first one that he started up the physical threats with. He clearly has never seen Mike. He's built like a brick zhithouse.
  12. Yes, I remember borrowing my buddy's Crow TPB in junior high. I always wanted to get some of the individual comics, but they weren't exactly the easiest things to find back then, so this is another start (along with my Walking Dead and TMNT runs). I put a an offer in on ebay, not expecting the seller to take it, but they did. It's graded by PGX, which I'll eventually take out and have slabbed by CGC. I want to read this one, anyway, so buying a PGX copy doesn't concern me as much. I'll just have to be really careful with it. Check it really well for color touch before you send it to CGC.
  13. This is my entire DHP army. Growing all the time. I haven't decided how far I am going to go with this series, but I have decided that I am going to sub them all myself. These were all handpicked and subbed by me, as well.
  14. Roy, jokes are supposed to funny. It's a big part of what makes them jokes.
  15. My DHP army has grown by one this week. I'll post a group shot this week. Long live the DHP thread!!!
  16. You may need affidavit testimony to prove that to some of the people who were on about Gina Carano earlier . . .
