  1. Ohh, I've got me one of those at CGC right now as well I bet you end up with a 9.8, Michael. I have been holding onto mine for Mark Schultz SS. The only show he does is SD. Someone on the boards (Bonds25?) has a wicked 9.8 Yellow label.
  2. Those are quite simply outstanding results. I got to get me another Copper sub together soon.
  3. Amen Brother Danged hippies! You just make sure you watch out where the huskies go . . .
  4. I am doing a bump on this thread so maybe we can have a general discussion thread and not have to start a new one every time there is something going on in the world of Copper. I have to give myself a for this weekend. While I was looking for some John Carpenter books this weekend, i dug through a ton of dollar boxes. The best pulls of the weekend were Lone Wolf and Cub 43,44,45 in NM/M and Samurai Penguin 1-5 in NM+ I had never even seen a #5 before.
  5. Raw sets go for hundreds of dollars - it is not an easy set to put together ... No doubt!! Here is the 1st vote for juggernaut to start his own thread in the Copper Forum. Between his Deadworlds and barry Blair books and now these Maus, I need MOAR!
  6. First off, I completely agree, if prices ever kick up, there will be plenty to absorb the demand and send prices back down where they should be. That being said, a lot of Swamp Things were read multiple times. My OO copies are all 7.5-8.5. As opposed to some of my OO X-Men from the same time period that have gotten 9.8s. Those I read bagged and boarded. ST's I piled up for multiple re-readings every couple of months.
  7. How did that 7.5 sneak in there? I'm guessing that is your OO copy slabbed for purely sentimental reasons.
  8. I'm pretty sure it would be a while before I could walk anywhere . . .
  9. On the front a non-descript, but nice Sandman encyclopedia from 1993 . . . But on the back, a beautiful sketch by one of my favorite Sandman artists, Charles Vess! Kudos to JJ for getting this for me.
  10. God, i hope Nick's boys love comics. What a collection waiting for them.
  11. That was awesome to see copies of all those books together like that. Not 5k awesome but still . . .
  12. I'll be your shill. That CGC Crow book that sold today is how you sell a Crow on eBay. Totally professional . WHAT?! Oh, Michael's "A Caliber Christmas." Mine came from Michael's stock, too. I like this one better than mine, though, because of the red sig. Congrats!!
  13. All of the copies of this book that I have seen were no better than 9.0. All had color breaking spine stresses. I haven't seen a ton of them, maybe six or seven, but they all were in about this shape. As such I always avoided them, like a ninny.
  14. That would probably be Charlie ("Grails") he said he placed a bid then sent the seller a question and if he didn't answer in 48 hours he was going to pull his bid. Unless paratrooper found this thread and he is working his magic . . .
  15. Jerel seems like a nice guy and I know he is well liked by a ton of the Modern guys on here, but I have to question someone that owns the movie "The Brothers Grimm."
  16. You said those books were nice, Andy. I didn't believe before, but now . . .
  17. This is purely my opinion, but it ain't OO if the one selling it didn't buy it off the stands. If you bought it from the OO or another couple steps down the line, definitionally, it is not OO.
