I ended up buying this copy. The staples are mildly oxidized but definitely not what I'd call "rusty" and I can see no sign of any sort of transference. It was slabbed almost 12-years ago. I'm guessing they were more strict on their definitions back then? Definitely looks like it would get both a grade and PQ bump on a straight resub. Maybe a bit better with a dry-clean and press. Regardless, I'm back in the club. Awesome book!

I really don't understand why so many people seem offended. Icculus didn't post pics of the hunt itself, or of him posing with his kill, he just invited us into his world, his home... you don't have to like it, but being offended by his choice of decoration.. imo that's just wrong. I've seen pics of mounted fish here, and no-one was offended
