  1. There's another Tec 35 coming up on the Clink ebetter auction.

It's a CGC 3.0 EP with Slightly Brittle pages.

    http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2Fauctions%2Fpreview.asp%3Fcode%3D2011juneEB%26pg%3D3%26x%3D0%26y%3D0%23Item_889552&id=889552

wonder how this one will fair in comparison to the EP 5.5 that just sold?

The 5.5 EP selling only at 4927 may hurt this one, and further more this one having slightly brittle PQ (while the other had OW/W) may hurt it as well. But we can all agree no matter what it won't go "cheap"

Oh boy and the staples have been replaced as well.

  2. Any lucky boardie win this Tec 35 CGC 5.5 EP on clink?

    http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAuctions%2Fdefault%2Easp%3F%5FSORT%3DYES%26Focused%3D1%26f1%3Da%2EMaxBid%26ODire1%3DDESC%26f2%3Di%2ETitle%252C%2Bi%2EIssueNumber%26ODire2%3DASC%26f3%3Da%2EMaxBid%26ODire3%3DDESC%26pg%3D2%23Item%5F889518&id=889518

Sold for $4,927 - any comments on the sale price?

I think it went for a nice price. I was thinking this would get closer to 6K. hm

Last year around this time you could not even touch a Tec 35 with at least the front cover for under 5K+

    I sold a PR/FR raw Tec 35 with slight A resto for $5,100 a few months back.

  3. It's one of the best pictures of Centaurs that I recall seeing. Amazing!

WOAH! Missed the original post. Action 9, Detective 24, Adventure 35. A great pic.

    Anyone seen this one?

    8a10871v.jpg

that is one of the coolest things i have seen on the boards!

    :o :o :o

That is one of the best pictures in a while. Just look at those issues.... :cloud9:

I totally agree! As a collector of early comics, it's just amazing to see a picture of those books on the newstand! I think this is one of the few photos I've seen with Centaurs! :whee:

Pulps were still the big brother to comics on the newstand, but not much longer!

    Comics are from Feb/march 1939. :cloud9:

    Operator 5 pulp is March/April 1939

    Darn! Wow!

Tec 24 , Action 9, etc. Thats way cool.

  4. Is rarity (and the Action 1 ad) really that critical when determining value on these two that closed tonight:

    New Adventure Comics #18, CGC Universal 3.5 = $638

    New Adventure Comics #26, CGC Universal 1.0 = $7,956

That and the fact that NA 26 is one of the most highly sought after covers by Flessel.

one of MY biggest regrets was selling the NA26 8.0SP copy (2 twice :shy: )

so i HAD to win this!

    RADE49DA2011421_162640.jpg

Aha! So you're the one who won the book.. I was actually the underbidder and lost  Congrats on a nice pick-up! Glad it went to a boardie :applause:

So is this really THE toughest DC book?

nope. but it doesn't come up for sale too often (thumbs u

That's quite the book, congrats swapto! :applause:

Unreal that there is only a mere two universal copies graded. :o

  5. Just came in today  Probably the toughest Tec book to find and the third copy I'[ve ever owned (sold my last two). This one is definitely much nicer than my previous two and with offwhite-white pages

    Tec187.jpg

Freaking sweet!! And you said it, tough is all I've ever heard of this book.

    Sweet pick up man! :applause::headbang:

  6. And today this arrived!

My new Tec 35 CGC 2.5 Ow/w :whee:

    Fantastic pick-up Alex. :applause:

Sure does look nice for a 2.5! (thumbs u

Any chance we can see a Pre-Robin Tec group shot? (shrug)

    Thanks!

I actually just "put them up" today, so maybe when they are out next time. Nothing has changed from my last group shots, just the addition of the 31 and 35. :cloud9:

  7.

Dang Alex you've been on a roll lately! (worship) Congrats on a nice pick-up! I used to own that Tec 35 book years ago  Glad it is within the circle of boardies. So what's next on your list?

Thanks! I remembered you did, and Rick too I believe? It's a nice example, one I've stared at on the HA reference page for years. lol

Picked it up from a boardie, :headbang:

As for what's next I dunno, will probably be awhile, would like to get a 29, but that will need to wait until next year. hm

Still need 28,29,34 for my run, but am currently spent dry. :cloud9:

Yep, I bought the Tec 35 off of ebay around 2004-2005. Rick bought the book from me as I upgraded to my now current 4.0. Then Rick sold it to someone and that someone sold it to you I guess (shrug)

Interesting stuff, I picked it up from senbi575, he may have gotten it from Gator, not sure.

  8. Brought to market by John Knight in the Lake Tahoe, area,

From original owner lady who had three books, this was one of them,

    bat60b.jpg

Love that book, Brian. (thumbs u

    Congratulations Brian, great book.

    +1

    Amazing snag Bunky!

That's the perfect example of a Batman 1.

Nice low grade, great colors, nice center, virtually perfect pq. 2.0's don't get much better than that. :applause:

  10.

nothin wrong with a nice reader copy, besides you have the real deal. I'd trade all my BA books for a copy of Tec 31.

    (thumbs u

I'd trade every book I own for the right Tec 31.

That Tec 31 4.5 is the right copy... I'd love a 4.5 copy of that book...I'll be happy with one of the 4 4.0 copies that are out there somewhere...

    You mean like this?

Nice to finally have a 31 back in the collection, it's felt "off" since I sold my 2.5 back in January (to fund for this 5.0) :headbang:

Well worth the wait. Ever since you joined the thread with a TEC31 avatar, I fell in love with TEC31 "One of the coolest BAT cover ever.". :luhv:

    So very true!! :luhv::luhv:

Tec 31 (after Tec 27) I'd say is my favorite book in the hobby.
