  1. Beautifully done! Those colors pop!
  2. I'm sure you have Alex - but Arkham City really put Hugo Strange into the spotlight. Not for those who did not play the game, but the success of the "Arkham" series cannot be denied, now an entirely new generation actually knows who this classic GA villain is. Your copy is sharp. (thumbs u I wouldn't mind the resto one bit on a book this tough to track down. Big time congrats! Agreed, and thanks! Have the book in hand and am pleasantly delighted by it.
  3. When I grow up I want to be just like Ben, he's my hero. Insane collection Ben!! Does not get any better than that for a Batman collector!!
  4. I was the underbidder, or one of them anyway! No worries, glad to see it found a good home. (thumbs u Awesome Thanks for letting me win. That auction felt like a sleeper hit, I was not expecting to win.
  5. I've been lazy about posting new purchases over the last couple of months but I will post this one: I never buy restored for my "vault" but I made an exception on this one. I purchased this as a placeholder, I sold my Tec 36 CGC 3.5 last year, but this one is so nice I may keep it as my "vault copy." Over the past year I've been trying to find another Tec 36 after I sold my last one but I could never find that special copy. All the ones that came to market were either heavily restored, or a slightly off color print (where Batman's eyes are blue), or the PQ was terrible. This copy, albeit restored, finally fell perfectly into my needs. I dont like resto but this one is slight (near spine where tape pull was on front and back cover it appears) and does not affect the Batman image. So I made an exception and to be honest the price was such a steal I am pretty happy!
  6. Amazing copy of one of my favorite books of the run Wow! What a beauty. That copy is insane!
  7. Looks fantastic, very nicely done!
  8. Looks fantastic Hoarder And you did not have any trouble with that piece, huh?
  9. Alex, is your 5.0 the copy with ow/w PQ and has some tape on upper left spine? That's one of my former copies. It's rough, but the pages were really nice! Your talking about the 0.5 of course right? Defiantly rough, looks like glorious road-kill / paper shredded slightly around the edges, but surprisingly is supple and very readable. And the check-out type slip on the inner back cover adds a bit of character to it doesn't it? Thought that was cool! When I got the book it had a LOT more tape on it. I was able to remove half the tape with no further damage. It also had 10 times as much pink paper in the logo that I was able to peel off. Really?? Nicely done! You dont have any before pics do you? Or know the story behind this copy? I bought it from Rick about a year or so ago now, a superb reader. It's fun to see complete keys in this condition from time to time. I bought that book and a Marvel Mystery #5 from the same source. The MMC #5 was in the same rough shape, lots of tape. I sold them both to Gator. Here is the before pic. Very very cool, and again nicely done on the tape removal!
