Well just as a side note most pre robin Tecs can go anywhere from 2x guide to 5x guide these days. Finding a Tec at guide is next to impossible.

Well considering how it is so hard to find and a lot of collectors are looking for it (me included.) I think if one does emerge for sale it will go for a pretty shocking sum and it may turn into a battle for many to buy it. Anything at this point good be possible price wise. I would not be surprised of any final value price that could come up. But is is safe to assume that a Tec 36 even in a 1.0 will cost a couple thousand at this point.

dude, love the book, but you REALLY need to get a new camera or scanner I know know. I took these pics on my new iphone. (My friend had one and I gave in and bought one - love it!) It is a 3.0 mp phone camera so that is why it is not that good. I'll get around to taking better pictures with my real camera soon. But yeah these pics are fuzzy, sorry.

Great copy you got there! And oh man, I bet you got it for a deal when you got it. The grader must have been a rookie - or an old man on some drug. That is a 7.0 and it looks like a 7.0! Nice page quality on that one as well! (thumbs u I'm sure I paid $300.00 at the time,,, I think the dealer downgraded the book because of the name penciled on the cover.. At the time I think it was considered a big defect.. I lucked out on this one I would say - amazing deal!! Your sure did! Nice! And sure there is a name on it which might annoy some people but its on the top neatly positioned - not on the main part of the cover which would be a annoying. Not bad, not bad at all. As for me with my laughable 45. I think I need to seriously upgrade it in the near future. It won't be a 7.0 , but hopefully a 4.0 or 4.5 . But I do want to keep my current 45 - even if I upgrade fore I like having an example of the lowest possible grade for a book without it being incomplete!

#41 is a nice angry batman cover. Here is a pic of my low grade 45. And as a fun fact about my collection - this particular Detective 45 is my lowest graded book I own (besides coverless books). It is a CGC 1.0 Restored w/ Brittle Pages. Can a grade get much worse? Nope. But I have had this guy for a long time and have grown fond of him. And the brittle pages have not had any pieces flying around in the case. Enough rambling, here it is...

That is about the nicest 4.5 I have ever seen. WOW Love the colors and it does look higher! Looks better than some of my 5.0's!

Schomburg's art is always so detailed - you can tell he took his time and really put heart into his work - unlike some other GA artists.

It seems like most of the covers featuring Hitler show him as a buffoon, scared, or just generally ridicule him. This one however presents him in a more sinister light. Real Life Comics #3 is another good one (paging adamstrange) Someone call me. Holy Cow!

I love pics like this one, it is so fun to see the comics in there original news stand goodness. My grandmother (god bless her) when see was a young adult worked in her fathers drug store. She started working there after she finished school in 1938. One of the items drug stores sold where of course comics. She told me (years ago) when she was working there and got bored she would read the comics. She said she remembers the first Action Comic when Superman debuted. She remembered "that issue where Batman killed with a gun" (Detective 32). It was a joy to chat with her about it. She has long since past and unfortunately she did not keep any of the comics except for one (many did not think too). But as a collector I have to laugh (to keep from crying) that my grandmother used to get boxes of mint comics that are worth so much today and read them as a young adult. If anyone is curious the comic she kept was a coverless Detective 32. When the person that delivered the new shipment of comics came every month they would take the issues that did not sell and rip off the covers and either throw them away or DC would sell them at a discounted price to stores that sold used comics at the time and the stores would sell them for 5c or less. She asked to keep a 32 that did not sell - the delivery guy ripped off the covers and gave it to her. Here's a pic of the 32 Very cool! And I love this 32 because of it. that is a super cool story! Welcome to the boards Bat-Man. In answer to your question, I don't think I've ever posted a comic book that I purchased new off the newsstands. So far, every one was published before I was born. Thank you! And you have probably heard this many times over. But your collection is the grandest I have ever seen. Truly amazing. How long have you been collecting?

The BangZoom collection just might be the best I have ever seen. I'm new here. Out of curiosity when did BangZoom start collecting or did he buy these himself new as a kid?
