  1. Here was my last futile attempt at it Breathtaking... I remember them all (since most were mine to begin with ) This pic really is amazing. All the books there are grails for the most part!
  2. My (new) latest Tec purchase. Thanks to Filter81 for selling me it! Edit - Added Pic.
  3. Here was my last futile attempt at it Great Books! And I love the Tec 27 can!
  4. I read the word Bat and then 1 and was trying to figure out how Batman 1 fit into that continuity. Simple reading/scanning error. Trust me, I am well aware of the entirety of the Batman pantheon. I've owned them all, several times. Okay I gotcha. I've done that before as well. And no worries - I was under the impression you knew full well and I only posted the long message explaining it all not to just reply to you but just in general to make sure I was clear with my point. To be fair my original post was quick and I could see how it could be easily confusing. And to "I've owned them all, several times." I must say that is truly impressive - I have never complete "the run" even once in its entirety but I am working on it. I love the early batman books (As an off topic side note - I also enjoy the original start trek series and Spock was always my fav character. Spock "rules" - "Live long and prosper")
  5. Cool... so I only have 7 Batman-cover pre-Robin Tecs to go to complete my run! Doesn't sound so bad when you put it that way. Yeah it doesn't at all.
  6. Bill is a well seasoned long time collector. You are preachin' to the choir I was assuming he was. But he said he did not understand my commentary (relating to the Batman covers) so I just explained it in full detail. Not quite sure what he did not get but that's why I just spelled it out. Am I am sure everyone knows everything I said above already. Just trying to be clear-er. (thumbs u
  7. Hope that clears up whatever you do not understand.
  8. in the pre-robin Tec run there are 11 issues. There are 7 of which with Bat covers. 4 That do not. So: If he has 5 bat covers He only needs 1 more (#31) to have all the bat covers in the 28-37 run or he needs 2 issues (#27, #31) to have all the bat cover issues if he is doing the whole 27-37 run. (thumbs u
  9. Great great great! You've got all the Bat covers except 1! Got a 31 in your scope? Edit - all covers except 1 (not counting 27 than is would be 2) Pardon? Huh?
  10. you got the rest of your life (thumbs u Daunting - But true! Don't give up on completing your already amazing run!
  11. Don't have a pic to post - but I will agree........ L.B. Cole was one of the elite artist in my book that will always be noted as a master of his craft.
  12. Great great great! You've got all the Bat covers except 1! Got a 31 in your scope? Edit - all covers except 1 (not counting 27 than is would be 2)
  13. Don't if your a big DC or GA Marvel Fan! It's hard and expensive but the GA grails feel so good when you land one! (thumbs u
  14. Well just as a side note most pre robin Tecs can go anywhere from 2x guide to 5x guide these days. Finding a Tec at guide is next to impossible.
  15. Well considering how it is so hard to find and a lot of collectors are looking for it (me included.) I think if one does emerge for sale it will go for a pretty shocking sum and it may turn into a battle for many to buy it. Anything at this point good be possible price wise. I would not be surprised of any final value price that could come up. But is is safe to assume that a Tec 36 even in a 1.0 will cost a couple thousand at this point.
  16. dude, love the book, but you REALLY need to get a new camera or scanner I know know. I took these pics on my new iphone. (My friend had one and I gave in and bought one - love it!) It is a 3.0 mp phone camera so that is why it is not that good. I'll get around to taking better pictures with my real camera soon. But yeah these pics are fuzzy, sorry.
  17. I bought this baby a few weeks ago. Detective Comics #31 CGC 2.5 EDIT - added back cover pic.
  18. Great book!!
  19. Great book! I want to get myself one of these someday. It does not count - but I do have Flash #105 ! (thumbs u
  20. Not worthy!??! Man that is a fantastic 98 you got there. Looks amazing! (thumbs u
  21. Great copy you got there! And oh man, I bet you got it for a deal when you got it. The grader must have been a rookie - or an old man on some drug. That is a 7.0 and it looks like a 7.0! Nice page quality on that one as well! (thumbs u I'm sure I paid $300.00 at the time,,, I think the dealer downgraded the book because of the name penciled on the cover.. At the time I think it was considered a big defect.. I lucked out on this one I would say - amazing deal!! Your sure did! Nice! And sure there is a name on it which might annoy some people but its on the top neatly positioned - not on the main part of the cover which would be a annoying. Not bad, not bad at all. As for me with my laughable 45. I think I need to seriously upgrade it in the near future. It won't be a 7.0 , but hopefully a 4.0 or 4.5 . But I do want to keep my current 45 - even if I upgrade fore I like having an example of the lowest possible grade for a book without it being incomplete!
  22. Great copy you got there! And oh man, I bet you got it for a deal when you got it. The grader must have been a rookie - or an old man on some drug. That is a 7.0 and it looks like a 7.0! Nice page quality on that one as well! (thumbs u
  23. #41 is a nice angry batman cover. Here is a pic of my low grade 45. And as a fun fact about my collection - this particular Detective 45 is my lowest graded book I own (besides coverless books). It is a CGC 1.0 Restored w/ Brittle Pages. Can a grade get much worse? Nope. But I have had this guy for a long time and have grown fond of him. And the brittle pages have not had any pieces flying around in the case. Enough rambling, here it is...
