There have been sales of both books higher and lower. I never said there wasnt. Anyone can make a point picking out single examples but if you look at the big picture it can tell a different tale.... And I know the books are worth approx the same in similar conditions.
Within the past month a tec 31 has sold for 35k in cgc 5.0 and a comparable looking 29 also sold for 35k. See, I took one sale and made my point (thumbs u
There shouldnt be any dispute that 29 is much rarer than 31. My guess is there is 40-50% more 31s on the market than 29s
I missed this one, was it private or public? This had to have been a boardie's.

Hi Gator,
Looking forward to the Heritage Auction.
Whats your take on the fair price for:
Action #1 3.0
Cap #1 6.0
Thanks
since I am an active bidder on all 3 (including the tec 27), I will have to take the 5th and not reveal my thoughts on the books, so as not to alert anyone to my bidding strategy...
Gator is the man!

YAHOO!
Awesome book.

That book is pretty sweet even cover less defiantly. Wonder if the winning bid will surprise us?

I received my freshly-slabbed Detective Comics #29 from CGC last week; but only just now got around to taking some pics:
This book has been a long time coming as I've rarely seen coverless copies offered for sale. Fellow board-member jgallo had the cover of his Tec #29 attached to a non-married interior, which made his old interior available.
I was fortunate enough to acquire that coverless-interior via trade with James and I immediately had the book shipped out overnight to CGC.
Needless to say, I couldn't be happier with the results.
Epic, Epic, Epic!!!!!!!!
Awesome book man!
Mega Mega Pick up!
Looks darn sharp in the slab.

I am incredibly excited about a book that I recently picked up from fellow boardie, jgallo.
It's one that I've been wanting for a very very long time.
Since I prefer my books slabbed, I overnighted this one to CGC the same day I received the package.
It's coverless and it's had some work done, but it is still a Detective Comics #29!
did you get a chance to read it? that's a great issue, would of loved to thumb through it myself.
I was tempted to, but no.
I didn't even take it out of the bubble-wrap it was shipped to me in.
It went from one box straight into another, then directly off to the Post Office so I could overnight it to CGC. (thumbs u
Awesome Awesome pick up!!
Tec 29
That's a crazy cool book to have.
And the splash is to die for.
