  3. Wait... Cal shot somebody in the head?
  4. This has nothing to do with anything... BUT... Shellhead... I love your sig line Everytime I see it I just get drawn in and watch it.
  5. Love me some Lonetree... always pays fast and always great to talk to
  6. Not making excuses for anyone, but there has to be some leeway here. Death in the family, loss of job, divorce, car wreck etc. But barring a life changing event, I'd say 30 days is plenty of time to complete a transaction. I thought that would be assumed BUT, to be 100% honest I would still hope at the very least if at all possible to receive a quick note letting me know it will be delayed. I've found that when dealing with anyone over the internet that you can't assume anything Concerning other post... I agree... that flashing mailbox is very hard to miss
  7. For once, I'll keep my mouth shut and let others say their piece and deal with this. I don't want anything I say misconstrued or thought as me taking it personal because of prior dealings. I'm sure he'll either see this or someone will pm him and he will respond (thumbs u Nobody will say anything about any well established members here. The pl is a little funky in that aspect and i feel it only targets a certain group of members but I'm sure cheetah will speak on his behalf and clear it up. Not questioning the validity of your opinion, nor arguing with you; but it could be, alternatively, that in order to be respected as a "well established member," that individual as gained the reputation of fulfilling his commitments on these boards. I understand that many first time sellers and/or "noobies" (even though I hate that classification), are nominated or discussed here - that makes sense though. Those individuals have failed to make a reputation on these boards prior to entering into an obligation here and when they mess up or fail to carry through with their obligations, they are brought to the attention of the community (sooner than that of a reputable member). AND, where many members have not dealt with that new individual, they have no basis on saying an opinion other than what is reported. On the other hand, an established member has a wealth of individuals that would come to their defense (not as their friend, but as someone who has previously dealt with them). In this world even the well established have robbed a bank. (thumbs u Agreed !

  9. DEFINITELY! When i hit the , i expect to receive the book. Thinking you already have it, you can pass on another copy, a different book, whatever only to find out 30 days later that the seller has decided to just blow it off and not sell. That certainly isnt cool in my book and would be a seller i'd avoid. If i buy something, i expect to receive it Got to agree. If you took the time to follow the sellers instructions and put up a sign in the thread... you should be the winner of what was being sold.

  11. I've said this before... if you're going to involve Arch or Mods, just ask them to LOCK the words "PROBATION LIST" into the sig line of the offender. Arch has proven that this lock of a sig line can be done. Then the offending party can't post anywhere without the brand of shame being evident. Wouldn't be too hard either since there are only 50 or so HOS and Probation list members. Never gonna happen . . . unless you agree to wear a Scarlet A If you thought about it for more than 10 seconds (which I know is an eternity of consideration for most of you ) it would be sponsored "branding" - not necessarily a liability that the host company would like to incur. I've thought about it for 10 seconds and put about 5 into your comments (as always) If this were the case wouldn't they be risking the same "branding" liability and libel issues for putting someone on a "strike list" or allowing members to post a probation list at all? I mean if they let us do anything on "their" site... aren't they ultimately responsible for all the site content? I've got 17+ pages of positive "branding" on my cgc board feedback page... which can't be correct because I know for a fact that I've got one boardie (or more ) that wakes up every day dreaming for me to die. I would compare use of that sig line for this the same as eBay's use of a feedback percentage box. Its in full, public view as well. No eBay member would have a low positive feedback percentage "brand" unless deemed worthy of it by members of that community. And even though that system has its flaws... its still being used after 15+ years. Using the word "probation list" in a sig line would equate to me the same risk in dealing with someone with a low, postive feedback percentage. Isn't this basically the same? In either case, if the offender makes right, his standing will improve through either a higher percentage of positive feedback given or removal of a "probation brand". Tomato <> ToeMAAtoWW And on a side note... I'm reasonably sure that Arch/Mods can disable your ability to enable/disable anything on this site.

I thought it would make a nice custom title....it didn't seem to fly with the Mods. It continues to amaze me that the Mods can consistantly pull a pic of a girl in a bathing suit or a slight political comment, but can't help enforce an issue that would actually protect board members. Not saying that Mods aren't helpful or needed... just a

  14. Hmmm the only way I would feel comfortable about 1 - 5 people being in charge of the probation list would be if they didn't buy and sell here. Too much power to give to too few of people.
