:shrug: The use of the word "variant" is used very loosely. Yes, some of these WERE printed at the same time as the US editions (Canadian and UK) but you are correct, others are reprints. Therefore, they are "editions". But really, I don't think it's that big a deal. Besides, the word "variant" can apply here. It is a very similar item with some variations, therefore, a "variant".
