  1. BC contacted the artist but did not publish an article. That was enough I guess.
  2. Last time I was in this mess, I reached out to Bleeding Cool and had my art in 2 weeks. Try it, you'll like it! I just re-read the entire thread, man I posted a lot in this one! The guy BC helped me with was Seth Frail, whom I mentioned earlier in the thread.
  3. Try asking John Dell himself. Dell already answered on the yahoo comic art group list, yes it is his.
  4. I got JK Woodward to add a head sketch to a Batman jam I have going. The others are Chandra Free, Robin Riggs (pencil so you can't see it) and Jonathan Case. wow, those are big pictures, sorry. I hope to add Sean Chen next week.
  5. Now this is just frickin' redonkulous. You have amassed your collection of over 500 pieces and everything has been since Superman For All Seasons? Less than 15 years? I am never selling you another thing. Man, I thought I was sick. Well, yes, I guess that I am sick. But you too! As soon as I win the lottery my collection will quickly expand too Bird is a lotto winner? I wish!

  7. My first page is not on my CAF for some reason, but here is my first sketch ever - Paul Ryan Reed Richards. Reed's arm goes onto the back of the comic board and re-appears on the front. I remember seeing the line and thinking "Paul Ryan is doing free sketches? Why wouldn't I get one?". Ah, the innocence of youth. It was like crack, those darn dealers give it away at first and then you get hooked. (Sorry if this was not the purpose of the thread.)
  8. Mars/cerebus attacks Not in my hands yet, but mine all the same. Funny, this was a snipe buy but now how you might think. I had my high bid in and thought that was that. But as Sunday wore on and the bid remained the highest I became accustomed to the idea of getting it. When only a few minutes remained I was quite happy to be getting it. Then the snipe came in at 10 or so seconds, and I was shocked. My little fingers worked furiously and I got a bid in at 1-2 seconds left and now I own it. But if the sniper had bid a few hours earlier I was prepared to let it go at that, and he/she would own it now instead of me.
  9. I got an email from Seth Frail today with the final art I commissioned last January. Very poor communication and tons of excuses but very cool art in the end. I just wish I did not have to go to Bleeding Cool to get it finally done. Here is the art. Prelims were dated 2012. It was so much aggravation, it is for sale to offers immediately.
  10. I think that Wolverine album cover painting looks like Mark Texeira to me, but I could see Fabry as well.
  11. Glad to see you found the gatekeeper, keymaster! You make Zool proud. I cannot imagine what it would be like to hit a motherload like that. When I saw the art it would be like all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light. Killer job, and very nice art. In other words, let's say a Twinkie represents the normal amount of energy in an original art acquisition. Based on this art's sample, it would be a Twinkie... thirty-five feet long, weighing approximately six hundred pounds. okay, I will stop now
  12. Thanks LBJ. It is the 2nd page I have been able to acquire from The Golden Age, and what a page it is. Captain Comet takes one square in the family jewels! And it is so cool to me that I, a huge Starman fan, get a page with the cosmic rod on it.
  13. The Golden Age, written by James Robinson with art by Paul Smith. I never noticed that little signature in the grass in the last panel until just now. huh
  14. I got this finally after paying for it for a few months. Colan/Palmer Tomb of Dracula 44 splash
  15. Hey, they laughed at Sim too and he got there, didn't he? He did crawl there, but he got there all the same.
  16. No sweat. If you want it done you'd better remind me in March though.
  17. Sent a message to Coipel and Kwan, no luck. Someone has to have it. \\Mark is going to be at a convention here in NJ on March 30. I think I will go. Mark and I have a good "con" relationship, he knows me and we laugh about a wonderful McNiven cover I once passed on (The Steranko Jessica Jones cover) that he will no longer sell. $1200 and I passed! D'OH! Anyway, if you PM me and remind me I will ask him about it directly and pass along any info I can acquire.
  18. Superman's all "Look how easily I broke this mess!" I love those legs on Sarge. The sideways slashes, they give such a great effect of movement.
  19. Hey, it looks better here than in person! no not really but I love my art on the computer screen, don't you? It can be so clean and sharp.
