  5. Sentence, Slab, Sentence, Slab, Snappish, Snarky, Sarcastic, what else?
  6. I remembered those mini comics at a dull bored laundromat back in early 1970's while my mother did the laundry.
  7. I stopped reading Mad in early 1980's and didn't know it lasted until today!
  8. I know it has nearly 5 years ago and will try this experiment with stinky smoking comic books.
  9. Yep! Thanks for your reference too. It's invaluable information too.
  10. At first, I thought it was a reprint and decided to ask the seller/consignor about this book. He decided to take a look at the indicia and said it was 1939. Scoffed by that in a first place so I asked him for the pictures. I got the answer for myself but I never learned about the original size of the original Superman #1. Now, I got all information I need for future reference. Thanks for your reference too.
  11. The book looks original but #4 picture already gave the answer. Also the back cover is shiny and thick.
  12. Slightly larger than the standard size of Golden Age bag and board (7 5/8" X 10 1/2"). Yes, thanks for convincing with the facts. I am already convinced that book isn't an original. Take a good look at those pictures in my next post.
  13. Exactly! That is what I thought. But what is the real original size of Superman #1? I looked everywhere here and outside but I would not find the dimension.
  14. I believe the size of the book is 13.5" x 10" and Colophon Publisher: Detective Comics, Inc. Maybe I am wrong.
  15. What is the original size of this 1939 comic book? What is the publishing name too?
