All Things Comics just bought a restored comic off me on eBay...
JollyComics replied to oldrover's topic in Comics General
First, I apologized for the slight confusion here and secondly, I am happy that it worked out for you well. They (former eBay ID: bijoubaby05) tried to get my restored Brave and Bold #34 CGC 7.5 in 2012 off eBay. I avoided them every since. -

A lesson learned. Keep watching All Things Comics until your former book shows up on eBay then report us. -

Best Online Comic Retailer who Ship Comics the Safest
JollyComics replied to Wah's topic in Newbie Comic Collecting Questions
I used to order books from G-Mart in early 2000's but not much in stock today. If the book is scarce, the price will be higher. Sometimes, their price is silly but not like Mile High Comics. -
I used Crossover Value. They received 5 books on 2/6. I looked at the current turnaround for Value is 64 business days. Tomorrow will be 60th business day. My books should be finalized and shipped next week. Anyone has experienced any delays or chaos that went beyond 64 business days lately? I hope it won't happen upon me. UPDATE!!! Today - 5/1/19 - Grading/Quality Control No chaos or delay for me.

I don't think it is a tear but it looks like a wrinkle (printing crease) if I am correct. -

No Superhero names? My wife agreed with your wife. No Anthony Stark for my son but Jeffrey Ethan Stark is perfect. Warren Gregory Way is sounded way cool! -
Please grade this Crime Mysteries #13!
JollyComics replied to Point Five's topic in Hey buddy, can you spare a grade?
Still in low VG range. It's tough to find this issue. -
It has a miswrap due to one staple on the spine. Defaced on the front cover. Tough grade. I would go for VG- 3.5. It's a beauty.

I can share my experience with you. I asked for two books being pulled from the glass display and asked the owner if it's ok to inspect the books throughout. He nodded. Both books were heavily color touched (it won't be removed for sure). One of them was trimmed on three edges (pretty obvious to me). I showed the restorations to him. He nodded. His price was apparently not 40-60% below the price guide. I had to explain about the right price for the restoration. He said no flatly. No further questions. The owner's face was stoic. No offer, no promotional or all others. Just blank. Walked out of the door. That was my only visit at LCS (27 miles away from my home) and last time.

Every year, three to four guests canceled this show. That may be the reason to hold back until everyone is confirmed to be in that show.

My wife knew that I was going to name my son Anthony so she named him Jeffrey instead. You know why....my last name is Stark. You haven't named him after he was born? That's shame. -

Stealing anything worth $100K is not a serious crime in California so the cops do nothing. I lived in California for five years from 1988 to 1993 and LA cops chased and arrested any petty thieves but not this time? It has to do with the lawyers? I heard it is so famous to get a lawsuit for anything nothing major in California so the cops do not want to deal the lawsuits? Pretty lame.

Testing on first year CBCS, they graded my four books. My expected grades and their grades were respectively same. I sold all of them via eBay except one on Clink. All of them were below GPA by 15-20%. That was my last submission to CBCS.
