#9 flat, glossy, slight miswrap, slight tan halo inside cover, CF is attached but torn by top staple caused by the staple placement of the miswrap,

ASM 8, note the scrape on Torch's leg and spine stress marks. 5.5

#7 WHiteish pages, flat, nice gloss, spine stress marks, faint crease on cover, half inch tear on BC other edge

# 6 Some spine stress but not bad, what holds the book down is the moisture tide - notice in the comic code and just to the left, a quarter inch sliver of lighter area, that is a moisture tide from front to back all the way through.  I would say it was caused by water as there is no stain but rather a lightening of the area.  CR to OW pages inside.

#5 quite nice looking, white pages, NOTE though bottom staple is horribly misplaced as it's only 2 inches lower than top staple, there are no other staple holes in the book so it was made that way.

#4 Tarnish on staples, finger grime spot on BC, long faint crease, CF detached top staple, some tanning inside covers, lots of stress on spine, note small chip around top staple, 2.5

#3 CGC 8.5 / note spine stress tic and also tiny color breaking crease lower right corner

#2 3.0 / mostly white pages, mostly flat, tarnish on staples, many stress marks on cover on top (a web of them) 1 inch tear on page #7 from bottom edge straight up and it makes just inside the story panel, a few pages in the second story have half inch tears on the bottom edge which don't make it into story panels, plenty of wear

Marvel Mystery 77

This is a single staple book, there is solid tarnish on the staple, there is some slight tanning on the edge of the interior covers (minor), the first page of the Miss America story has a small tear in the upper right corner (well outside of the story panel) the tear is about 1/2 inch long and still attached to the book, tear is at the top and goes straight down I would say about 3/16 of an inch from the right most corner, I can see where some of the interior pages had the corner fold over but they are not folded over now now were they when I got the book - these are about 1/4 inch in length and well outside of the story panels, back cover has faint crease in upper left corner which does not break color.  This is really a very solid Golden Age book with some very minor imperfections.  It was graded a 9.0 OW to W by another company, I will include their label with the sale.  It could be a 9.0, but I would like to say 8.5 here to make sure that nobody could be unhappy.  Single staple is holding nicely throughout book.

Ignore crazy scanner reflection of slab, book looks great in hand.  There is some scuffing at top and bottom of spine which likely makes it no better than an 8.
