  1. It looks like there is a light water stain on both covers? To be on the safe side, I'd say 6.0.
  2. 4.5. What I'm seeing besides that spine is the soiling on back cover, as well as a 1/4"+ tear, color rub front cover, and a crushed corner of the book.
  3. I really want to say 9.4 -- it looks like a copy to be proud of! But I lean toward 9.2 because of what looks like maybe some creasing near FBRC
  4. It's a little hard for me to tell exactly what's going on with the back top left corner and the soiling on back cover, so I am going to be super vague: somewhere from 4.0 to 6.0. Most of what's catching my eye is n BC, but there are also those wrinkles on FC (bottom one goes to BC, too?)
  5. Hey again. Yeah, now that I know the cover is detached I'd say you could still possibly be at 1.8. Spine split and detached cover are two separate defects, and your detached cover doesn't seem to have long splits, from what I see. So... maybe 1.8. I could see it being a 1.5 or 1.0, too. Not sure how the trimmed pages will factor in. What is it that makes them look trimmed?
  6. I think you can't grade based on the FC alone. And I were going to estimate, I would need to see a higher resolution scan that shows the FULL cover (edges seem to be cut off in this image).
  7. Scrolling through past sales, I found a couple of ASM #1s with complete spine split -- both of which were reattached with tape -- graded at 1.5.
  8. This is one of those "ceilings" where Overstreet seems to depart from CGC. Overstreet says for a 1.0, spine split can be up to 2/3 of the book and that a complete split would make the book a 0.5.
  9. In an out-of-character move for me, I'm leaning high: 7.5 I see so much to like about this copy. I looked up the sales on GoCollect and am comparing images of the 7.5s and don't think it's out of the question. But very curious to see what others think.
  10. Agreed. Do you think that tear (I'm thinking it's a 1" tear on FC) would push it down to 4.0 range?
  11. Questions. Is that a tear at FBC? AT BCTR, is that a water stain?
  12. Nice results, FSQIV. Did you have the book pressed before submitting?
  13. I believe that bend could be helped by pressing, but pressing is never a guarantee. Weigh the cost, possible increase in grade + value... and if it adds up for you, it might be worth a press.
  14. Cover detached from original staples. There are a couple of 1/2" to 3/4" stretches where the cover is still joined, but otherwise split. The staples you see are not original. No missing pages/cut-outs, other than what you see on the cover.
  15. Wow. Good on ya! Looking at original scans, seeing that FBRC crease, I thought below 5.0.
  16. Hi. I'll tell you what I see: Both top corners lightly rounded (I can't make out more than that, but there might be more going on); FBLC light abrasion; a couple of spine stress lines and light bends on spine; and on the front cover, above Domino's head, what looks like a finger/reading bend; possible color flecks in the black on the right side of FC. How much that bend will factor in to the grade is the wildcard to me. I think this might max out at 9.0 to 9.2.
  17. If looking to sell, I wouldn't grade. Buyers are more interested in raw books lately.
