I picked up a GS Defenders 3 awhile back right before it got hot, not for flipping but for my collection.

Social media, YouTube and other “investing” sites are exposing a lot of people to Golden age books, especially books like pre-code horror, and artists like LB Cole and Matt Baker. 

I see a lot of copies of MS2 with bad distributor ink on the back cover, I passed on a few higher grade copies in the last few years. Plus it is a square bound book that isn’t very forgiving especially with the staples affecting the cover.

Same happened to me with my Heritage shipment. This will likely cause me to stop buying from Heritage.

 I called FedEx and they said there was a restriction on my package and they couldn’t hold it at a location. Called Heritage and was told this is company policy and they do this because they ship rare and unique items. I told the rep my previous shipment from Heritage was sent via USPS and it was left on my doorstep with no signature required. She didn’t respond to that.

 I called fedex back and was told after 3 attempts to deliver they will hold it at the location.

 I guess I will see what happens.

I haven’t been watching this book much lately, so I was surprised to see recent sold prices. Quite a few red arrows on GPA. I also took a look at BB28 and that book has fallen quite a lot too. Now is a good time to pick up a copy. 

I think the FOMO has died down some on this book, now may be a good time to get a copy before it gets hot again when there is a MCU announcement. 

I have found a lot of dealers don’t know much about moderns, so will dump them in cheapo bins. I was at a con in May and picked up a bunch of modern keys on the cheap.

My shop checked on reordering more but couldn’t, they said there was a second print coming out later in July
