When will Thor wear a proper winged helmet?
I seem to remember seeing Thor wearing one in his first scene in Asgard, where he struts before Odin and his court.

Interesting points about how "highest grossing" actor can be irrelevant.
I love The Rock & think he's grown into a legitimate actor. But he's yet to prove himself as a lead box office draw (see Hercules). Still, he elevates things like FF and GI Joe.
Perfect example of this is Bill Paxton. Because he's essentially a character actor who knows James Cameron, he's got an absurdly per-movie box office gross record (Terminator, Aliens, True Lies, Apollo 13, Twister, Titanic) but no one _ever_ goes to see a flick because he's in it. He's good, but his presence (or not) has little impact on the film's success.
If Hudson had survived Aliens he would have been one of the reasons for me to want to see Aliens 3 (if he would have been in it).

Kirby... not the be all end all in the slightest...
Just never thought of Kirby as the "best" or even near the top. With the exception of the Fantastic Four covers, I mostly look at Kirby's other work with appreciation but not greatness. They are good to me but they do not mesmerize. I can look at a Schomburg or especially a Feldstein cover and be captivated, looking at every nook and cranny of the cover in an effort to see what detail I missed the first time around and what else I can find. Kirby is good, but not as good as a few others.
.
Any chance you haven't seen all of his pre-1960s stuff? The guy was pretty amazing.

BOOM
McFarlane
Kieth
Silvestri
Liefeld
Lee
Larsen
Valentino
Keown
Frazetta
Ottley
Jenkins
Dragotta
Now you know and knowing is half the battle.
The other half of the battle... you need to take out everyone except Frazetta, and add guys like Ditko, Kirby, Wood, Ingels, Davis, Schultz, Wrightson, Brunner, Feldstein, Everett, Kamen, Maneely, Heath, Kubert (the original), and Kurtzman.

I scanned them all for Digital Comics Museum too if you want a gander of the insides as well
The last two I consider rare just because they were the last covers for each of the respective series that GCD needed. Had never seen either after years of looking before I picked them up on ebay and I prowl around a lot online.

Yeah I had never seen it before so I grabbed it when it was up on ebay awhile back. I think it's the last St. John romance (Feb-1958), barely beating out these two
Say, those two St. John romance books look like line drawn covers not by Baker.
Anyone...?
I didn't say they were by Baker, just that they were among the last of the romance published by St. John.

do you own this? my kneejerk reaction would be that someone photoshopped somewhere or inserted the lowgrade copy into a different container.
