  1. I'd love an Evil Ernie #1 myself. That, and a Chromium Lady Death #1.
  2. I was pleasantly surprised by my first SS submissions too. Anyone else think that the turnaround times have led to even looser grading?
  3. Finally got my modern books subbed at HeroesCon back yesterday.
  4. Called today and was told moderns could take up to a month in encapsulation. Non-fast tracked.
  5. FWIW, every time I have contacted CGC I have been greeted with a happy voice on the other end of the line. My emails have also been promptly responded to. From that standpoint, customer service is top notch. I'm always treated like my business is important, even though my submission is pitiful compared to some on these boards. In that regard their customer service is top notch, and worth my continued patronage.
  6. Dollars to donuts its NYCC fast tracks the backlog going back years and the inability to hire/train new graders and buy more encapsulation machines causing the 2-3 week any wait. FYP. I'm looking at it in the short term. You've got the long term nailed though. (thumbs u
  7. Dollars to donuts its NYCC fast tracks causing the 2-3 week wait.
  8. My sub from the same con was graded on the 23rd and I was told it would be 2-3 weeks in encapsulation before shipment.
  9. Just called about my invoice from Heroescon. They were graded today and I was told it would take 2-3 more weeks for encapsulation. On the plus side - my first two submissions are both 9.8's
  10. Just got an email telling me they are currently grading moderns received around the 25th of June. My books from Heroescon got to them June 27th.
  11. For some reason they've been stuck on June 14th since the middle of last week. Maybe everyone took a week or two off. Bet they got a huge delivery from a con from the previous weekend on the 14th. ACE perhaps?
  12. Sent an email late last week and was told they were grading moderns submitted "around 6/7".
  13. I already have two copies, so no. I thought the print run for #1 was lower than that?
  14. I stopped by a shop in Wilmington, NC yesterday and was shocked to see #1 1st prints on the shelf for cover, as well as copies of #2.
  15. Should slowdown be expected with all the Baltimore Fast Tracks? I subbed my first two books ever at Heroes which was at the end of June. I joked then that I wouldn't see my book again until Halloween. It looks like I was right.
  16. Was worth a shot. I have one of the Sears Web of Spiderman issues and it has a similar price box as the uxm 302 variant you're trying to figure out. Could this just be a printing error?
  17. Thinking out of the box here - could this have been a Sears reprint?
  18. This is just my thought. Dealers may be able to provide better insight, but Spawn doesn't sell like it once did, but there are still hardcore collectors out there. I would think it would be a book much like the McFarlane headless variant of 185. One of those in 9.8 sold on ebay back in July for $175. 222 secret variants raw have been selling between 99 and 150 from what I just glanced at. Again, not a dealer so I could be totally off, but its just my opinion.
  19. So, Batman 1 1st print from the new 52. I'm seeing it going on ebay for around $20. Is this a short term trend, or is this book going to be hot like this for awhile?
  20. Which issue has the walking dead homage cover? 223?
  21. Where are your Platt Moon Knights?
