I've been watching these issues for awhile. They've always seemed to be 2x cover or more. $25+ for the set does seem much though, but who knows?

Were there any other issues that had the same cover as the 75 platinum? Or at least a similar cover? I saw something in a long box a few months ago that looked ALOT like the 75 platinums on ebay that was not in a polybag. Are the ungraded, non-polybagged platinums worth anything significant?

I wouldn't use the term 'demand' for the later printings or the newstand versions, but there is a certain segment of comic collectors that will want [ myself included ] every copy of a series printed. I collect Tom and Jerry, and at one time had a complete collection, then I discovered the joys of the chase of Whitman variants. I didn't use the word 'demand.' I actually avoided typing it. I think 'appreciate' better defines how people view it.

I got excited today when I saw a stack of 6th print Justice League 1's at a comic shop I was in. I bought one for myself and one to sell. Looks like I jumped the gun. The 5th print seems to have the best legs on ebay as most 6th prints are selling at 5.99

I have a 4th print of Superman 75 that I pulled out of a dollar bin in 1994. I honestly never thought it would be something collected or even appreciated. Kinda cool knowing that those later printings are still appreciated by some.

How does the rating system for sellers work? I always leave good feedback but I don't really see people's hero scores go up afterwards.

Most are representative examples. Some do have their actual copies scanned in. I think some will even scan copies upon request.

I really like comiccollectorlive. The site itself can get slow but the dealers on there usually have great prices and selection. I've bought from several and have yet to be dissatisfied. I even had one dealer give me several comics for free because he realized once he pulled them from his boxes that he had overgraded them.

I know you can't re-nominate if they're already on the PL. If you're dealing with shady characters you're taking a risk to attract other shady characters is my point. It's like you're inviting trouble.

By that logic should people who welcome probation listers to buy in their threads be able to nominate folks to the probation list?

This is crazy. I found a copy of #4 in a back issue bin at a comic/video game shop here locally that had been bagged and boarded and minty fresh. I paid 25% less than cover. Posted it on ebay and in less than 2 days the bid is up to a little over $20! What's the drive behind this team? Is it because deadpool, wolverine, and x-23 are all in it?

The podcasts you guys did from SDCC in 09 (I think) for OTV were some of my favorite podcasts. I also always appreciated your banter with chiclo - he tries too hard sometimes. The whole reason I found these boards was due to you casually mentioning it during one of the podcasts
