  1. I am perfectly fine with them never appearing in the book. I like Daryl as a character and all, but I like separating the show and the book.
  2. Kirkman indicated in the letters section of issue 99 (or maybe 98) that neither Merle or Daryl Dixon would be showing up in the comic in the near future. I'm not hopeless. Kirkman often says one thing and does another in an effort to keep readers surprised. I imagine that we still may see the Dixon brothers in the pages of the comic. They are increasingly popular, getting their own videogame and AMC may demand that they appear in the comic. Alternatively, Kirkman's contract with AMC may be the reason why Daryl and Merle won't ever appear in the comic. I guess only time will tell. I would hope that, if AMC "demanded" Kirkman do something to a property that he created and has had sole control of since Day 1, he would tell them where to stick their demands.
  3. He's serious. I read it also. I believe it was issue 99.
  4. You were shocked huh? So was this guy.... I laughed my off when I saw that today.
  5. Considering the majority of the talk around here, the thread title change is appropriate. I like talking about the content of the book.
  6. I was thinking that as well. The guy that he made the bet with was saying how he was always complaining about TWD being predictable. Several people here have made that prediction as well. What do you guys think? Do you want to see Rick or Carl die?
  7. It's just a governor t-shirt. No spoilers needed. They made a governor t-shirt.
  8. I really need to know who/what Lucille is. My inner Kenny Rogers is dying to know.
  9. I'm loving reading the new nightwing book. I also have no clue as to why #4 is going for so much.
  10. Added two more to the Green Arrow (2001) registry set: I finding a lot of these for some pretty good prices on ebay. I have no idea why the picture is sideways. It looks fine in photobucket.
  11. There is a black and white SDCC version of the Adlard cover. (The one with half of the page blacked out. And there is a cover for the Escape event. This one features Rick running away from Zombies. I am too lazy to get pictures loaded. So there are two different SDCC covers.
  12. Picked up 4 additions to my Green Arrow (2001) Registry on Ebay last week. A couple of James Jean covers and a Charlie Adlard cover. The #1 is a second printing to go with my 9.8 First and Fourth printings.
  13. I believe they have addressed this with Eugene needing to find a way to make new ammunition. That's why he and Abe went out that day. They were going to get supplies so he could work on making their own ammo. I thought when the group went to the hilltop they received enough food to hold them over. Someone might be able to say I'm wrong. I don't feel like getting the issues out and reading right now.
  14. Your ad homs aimed at me are not persuasive. Insofar as WD 100 is the 1st appearance of the Dixon brothers there is going to be very high demand for the black and white book. My recollection was that you believed that Saga RRPs were $25 books when they were hitting the market. Accordingly, it appears that the empirical data supports my ability to predict the value of forth coming hot books and evidences your attempts to denegrate these books so that you can buy them for less than a reasonable amount. Please try and argue facts and refrain from making personal attacks against me. That being said, I've heard you talk about your children on the boards and want to take this opportunity to wish you and the other fathers on the board -Happy Father's Day! Do you know something I don't?
  15. Welcome to the Boards! Hopefully your WD interest will open you up to the other great stuff out there.
  16. Kudos on the use of "metric tonne". Only problem is you need to add the ne. An Imperial ton or a metric tonne, either way Rick ordered a whole bunch. Jim fixed
  17. Not saying the 1:200 won't have a high print run. Just saying that assuming the 300,000 projected print run will produce 1500 1:200s is not accurate. There are 3 LCS here. New Force, Arena Comics, and Comic Emporium. We all know New Force is ordering a metric mess tonne. The other two will never order 200 copies of any book. Ever. I have to imagine that MOST stores around the country are similar to the other two stores here. Like I said, I think the 1:200 print run will be way more than usual. I don't think it will hit 1500 though.
  18. Nope. If one store had ordered 300,000 copies, then the variant print run would be 1500. You have to split up the 300,000 between all of the stores in the world ordering the issue from diamond. We don't know how many of the accounts ordered 200 or more of the issue.
