  1. Let's join in, shall we? I'm sure we could all use a good dose of cartharsis in this out-of-balance-world! (The trick is to wear clothes you were planning to throw away anyway!) So let your hair down, join in the fun!

  5. Here's me with college chums in Baroda in 1981. (Damn! Was I ever this skinny?)
  6. People celebrate in the streets. In Kolkata they call it Basanta Utsav (Spring Festival).
  7. It signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, end of winter, a celebration of goodwill and fellow feeling, of reconciliation and forgiveness. In a word, catharsis.
  8. While here in the UK we are experiencing sub-zero temperatures, in India its more like 34 degrees. 1st March marks the beginning of summer in India, celebrated with Holi, the festival of colors.
  9. Shahina has taken the volunteers to Bombay for the annual football tournament. A chance, I'm sure, to reflect, unwind and refocus.
  10. After the recent traumatic events things seem to be back to normal with Roshni. the students have their attitude back, if indeed they ever lost it.
  11. It also knows no literary maps - but I'm on the look out for a decent book on the subject!
