  1. Quiba and Alba used art techniques to improve their English.
  2. Roshni recently worked with two Irish students from the Thoughtshop Foundation.
  3. No question. If I find one 'albatross' a year I feel lucky.
  4. It's what makes them fascinating to collect. Of course, #5 is one of the rarest issues, so the challenge is even more extreme! As close as I will ever get to extreme ironing!
  5. I actually thought #18 was the bigger gamble than #5, though by far the one I really wanted. The Planet #18 did turn out as well as I'd hoped, if not better, so I'm very happy about that. So I'm philosophical - I got the one I really wanted. Colors on #5 are normally pale orange background - this one is deeper orange than the average copy. But red is the color for me.
  6. After chewing it over for a while, I've decided to flip the Planet #5 I won from the recent Jon Berk Auction. https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/topic/418676-planet-comics-5-jon-berk-copy/
  7. Not being a completist, I've decided to flip this recent win, as the colors arent quite what I was expecting. You can see the colors are deeper than average, from my pic below just not as deep as I wanted. (Not a great pic I know, but I can get a better one up on Monday if need be.) However, you can see CC's scans in the listing here: http://www.comicconnect.com/bookDetail.php?id=716676 So for me the search goes on. Asking $1650, which is what I paid. Read this first: wins over pm's. Payment terms PayPal, (or cheque in the UK only). Shipping I am based in the United Kingdom.. Expedited shipping from UK to US will be $30. I pack books very carefully. No HOSers, probies or trolls allowed!
  8. My humble contribution - introducing my new Planet #18 to some loud neighbours...
  9. ..and that's more than Sean Connery does.
  10. One of my all time favorite stories. Does anyone know if it has ever been reprinted anywhere?
  11. On reflection, I find that I dont regret the major departures - it was always for a good reason. But looking back there are regrets regarding specific books that were not high value, but where in retrospect I made an impulsive error. Selling a hi grade Venus #19? No regrets, got top price at the time, money put to good use. But a Planet #35 in 6.0 with gorgeous colors for a few hundred bucks? Man, that still really smarts years later. I'm still looking for that elusive 'upgrade' I now realize I might never find.
