  1. And I should clarify, I made those scans on a really small scanner, so for example, the scan above is actually a composite of these two (in the interests of full transparency, since this is a 'scientific' study of 'absolute' FH color/printing)
  2. ..and we have a just delivered copy that is more magenta (when I showed it to kelholt he called it an 'alabatros', so I guess I'm collecting large, cumbersome birds that have difficulty taking off - who knew?)...
  3. ..okay, so regarding variations on #18, we have a 6.5 that might be more blue than purple (new scan)...
  4. I'm far more bummed than you. Must go on that diet.

  9. That's a great example of Toledo at its best. Sadly, not all Toledos were created equal.
  10. Which come to think of it, makes me an auction whiner.
  11. Not whining. Obviously the wine is a ploy to pacify impatient auction winners. So you do the wine, and I'll do the whine.

  13. ...not a soon as I had hoped, but Purnabha and Lucina's struggles continue with their PhD's. Sounds like they cant get out from under until the wheels of Academia decide they can present their theses. Meanwhile they have to do a lot of unpaid teaching, so they are rather like interns on hospital wards. Worked half to death for little or no reward except the future prospect of better status. Anyway, I'm delighted to say that Roshni's newly improved web site is now up and running after some teething problems. It has a lot more content than before, so please take a minute to visit and look around. http://www.roshniumeedki.org/ NB Purnabha says it may be best viewed on a laptop or pc. It seems the developer wanted more money to make it compatible with smartphones - so I'd be really grateful to know how many of you would generally view web sits on a phone rather than a 'puter so we can decide if the additional investment would be justified. Feedback welcome and I will pass it along! More soon...
  14. I have the p-p-p-p-patience of a saint whose name begins with Z.
