  1. My former copy - I don't know who has it now.
  2. Somebody pulled the trigger Yeah, on the Teen-Age Romances 38, too. T'weren't me.I noticed the #38 has a rusty lower staple. I am wondering about storage issue with this collection... I'll let you know how the two I got turn out. They certainly look fresh and glossy in the scans... By the way I'd be astonished if Craig isn't reading this thread. (He joined the boards specifically to promote this collection after all.)
  3. I have no idea of value, but those are darn cool! Those are pretty cool. I have collected a lot of Lone Ranger comics and some with Leonard and Gene but never found those cards. I did pick up a scrap book filled with covers and pictures of the western heroes of the fifties and early sixties. A couple more pages from the scrapbook and some covers. Ah those were the days, when westerns ruled the tv screens.
  4. Early in the print run colors were more vibrant than later as they failed to replenish the colors - at least that seems to be the prevailing theory. Accordingly, while few Fiction House books are scarce except the early issues, few are common with fully saturated colors, and it's really only later issues where super strong colors are the rule rather than the exception.
  5. If/when you do upgrade Michael, I'll take a decent beautiful copy like that off your hands without hesitation. Duly noted Steve. It does look a little nicer than the given grade.
  6. I thought you might go for the #11. Looks like we shared them out between us. Very glad you dropped out on the #16! It's not a favorite cover so I didn't want a nosebleed to get one. I don't know who won the #17. I know it wasn't cheetah. It seems to blow up every time a high grade copy is listed. Mine is decent so I didn't chase it.
  7. +1; just great stuff. Impressive run there, Michael. Wouldn't mind seeing yours again Steve! I never did see Billy's before he sold them.
  8. Thanks Walter - I can take a hint. Just need a decent copy of #9 for the first ten issues now.
  9. Very pretty! Glad someone was able to win something in this auction. The colors look spectacular!
  10. ...and finally, a cover I've always been fond of, and had multiple copies of in the past. But this by far the nicest copy.
  11. And this one brings me a little closer to completing the rivet run and was a reasonable price - considering it went for only slightly more than the #11 in 6.0!
  12. I've been conflicted about buying recently but did manage to pick up an upgrade today from Heritage. So at least I have a decent under copy to sell.
  13. It's funny, but that seems to be exactly the way it's worked for me, on many occasions. A few months ago I sold my long-time, low grade Cinderella Love 26 (for an obscene profit, btw... ). Then, just recently, I was able to turn up that CGC 6.0 copy I found... (for an obscene amount of money). Some kind of karma happening, there. Weird, but true.
  14. Oh man, I am so upset I missed those. I've been watching his ebay listings constantly. Ken Sorry about that Ken. For once being in the UK worked in my favor. Over the years I've missed so many books posted or closing after I have gone to bed. It was certainly strange, seeing two of my very favorite Baker covers pop up together like that only months after I let go my previous copies!
  15. You would guess that with prices moving as they have been, we will start seeing more copies brought to market. You really wonder if there might be a significant price reaction. Even many of our fellow GA geeks seem to have no interest in Baker. As people begin filling out their collections, prices -- at least in mid-grade -- may begin to decline. At least I hope so! I know my want list is really getting down there. Aren't too many more I'd pay big bucks for. If I didn't already have a pretty nice TLP 11, I would've grabbed that CGC 6.5 the other morning... (almost did, anyway, except I've spent soo much $$$ recently, with more still on the horizon). You should have grabbed anyway, that one was soooo underpriced. I know. I know. Nah - you did the right thing Rick. If you say so, Michael. 'Cause I know you only have my best interests at heart. Share the wealth I say!

  17. Ironically there are copies of the same 2 books forthcoming in May (among others). http://comics.ha.com/c/search-results.zx?N=52+792+4294951790&No=100
  18. He's listed some other books that have his usual high prices. His pricing of these books is curious. yeah, I saw that go for a steal. They really under sold the Teenage Temptations #2 as well, in my opinion anyways. I agree. That one also went fast. When some of your BINs are taken in a few minutes and others sit there for months ... Maybe you just hit on it... Some of his books are priced to never sell... that way, when he lists books that are merely over priced, they seem like good deals, and get snatched up in 15 minutes. I was tricked!
  19. It's not for me but I reckon that book has plenty of room to go further. And further still. Better tighten your belt Rick! Can't wait to see the fireworks on the Cinderella. I think the fact that it's not doing the traditional 95% runup in the first 2 hours is very auspicious. And you certainly gave the world a chance to take it off the table well before this, Michael. I've never been so willing to see a book sail clean out of sight! Thanks Andy.
