  1. I really do love the artwork and stories on these Fawcetts. I was just checking our my copy of Worlds of Fear #3, which features one of the best things George Evans ever did. I've put the rest of it up in the Serendip thread. The Metamorphosis of the Gkmloooms!
  2. When I was a kid growing up in the UK, I only knew about pre-code horror through cheap black and white reprints. Hadn't a clue about the history of them, or where they came from. One of the ones I most vividly remembered was this one, The Metamorphosis of the Gkmloooms, which terrified the living daylights out of me - but then I was only nine years old at the time! But it helps me imagine what the impact of PCH books must have been on the young kids who read them back in the early '50's. It's from Worlds of Fear #3, and it was a nice surprise to find it again after all these years, so I thought I'd post it here. Found the scans on an interesting blog, here. http://atomic-surgery.blogspot.co.uk/2010_06_01_archive.html

  4. Hi Gabe - I dimly recall a nice one coming up on eBay once, but it was years ago.
  5. Reminds me of a girl I once knew. Asked her to marry me, but she turned her nose up at me.
  6. Very nice, Mr. Billy - dibs if you ever upgrade, please. noted; but it's a tuff one--I think this is the only one I've seen for sale in the 5 yrs or so I've been a fox-thru-7/40 completist. Ahem - I believe I called dibs on that one in Houston!
