Harvey you must be so thrilled with this show. As somone who doesn't collect much DD....I love this show. You must be on cloud 9

Karen is beyond annoying...stumbling all over Hell's Kitchen screaming KILL ME I'M STUPID. This what happens when you binge watch, the annoyances of individual characters are magnified. Foggy isn't much better in regards to being annoying (I'm sad, time to get drunk and sleep around). Matt should cut them both loose.

 

Movie costume was way too shiny, I like the more urban look.

I agree Karen did get herself into some stupid situations...

He says he sees in fire and that is evidence he needs his eyes uncovered. They show how he can see with his eyes. He is not completely blind as in seeing complete black.

 

Just started watching episode 5 and what you're referring to is in the first few minutes of that. He meant that figuratively and was using the same language as Rosario Dawson who was asking him "what he sees." Here's the complete text of it:

Matt: How? I guess you have to think of it as more than just five senses. I can't see, not like everyone else, but I can feel. Things like balance and direction. Micro-changes in air density, vibrations, blankets of temperature variations. Mix all that with what I hear, subtle smells. All of the fragments form a sort of... impressionistic painting.

 

Claire: Okay, but what does that look like? Like, what do you... actually see?

 

Matt: A world on fire. If all I saw was fire, I'd probably want to hit people, too.

I'm only up through episode 4, so I'll look for what Mark is referring to. Historically he uses his ears to "see," and I'll be surprised if they change that.

Perhaps I am missing how they interpret it on TV. If i'm wrong, it won't be the first time.

he does not PHYSICALLY use his eyes to see. He is BLIND. He can 'see' in the sense that the input from his other senses form that imagery inside his mind. neurons fire inside his brain, not his eyeballs

And the same for the red mask. Eye holes so he can see the shapes, colors whatever he sees.

 

Huh? He's blind. His radar sense is based upon the same echolocation that bats do, so what he is able to "see" actually comes in through his ears. Which raises the obvious next question that makes very little sense to me--why do most iterations of his costume cover his ears? Even the scarf-mask he wears in this series covers his ears. Seems like he'd want to keep those uncovered.

 

The strange thing about Daredevil is that not only is he greatly inspired by Batman, if you were to take Batman and give him a bat-like power, Daredevil's echolocation makes the absolute most sense. Daredevil is more bat-like than Batman is.

On this show I won't nit pick any negatives. The positives outweigh any negatives I can come up with.

The show was a 9 out of 10 for me.

The press, word of mouth, and revenue to Netflix speaks stronger than the showrunner. There will be a season 2.

It would be a huge mistake for Marvel not to develop another season or two of this series.

I just finished it and it is by far one of the best Superhero stories ever shown on film. I loved it. I don't say that often about movies or TV shows.

This is extremely special and Marvel needs to make more of it and do it soon.

I only wish I had grabbed Daredevil 1 before all the hype happened. After this series, that book is going to be on fire.

So so good!

I'm 4 episodes in and I love it. Dark, edgy, violent and intense. Episode two ending was one of the best fight scenes in a superhero show/movie.

Can't wait to watch more!

The book looks like it's suffering from amateur destruction not restoration. To bad as it was probably a decent mid grade book.

 

Also, is the seller saying that because he was burned on this book that that makes it OK to burn the buyer?

 

Ya he didn't know when he bought it from the seller on ebay a while back, so when he KNEW about it, still sold it, he closed his eyes, opened his hand and said pay me.

I haven't kept up with this situation since the guys sales thread was closed. I gather he turned out to be a scammer.

Some people might not like me in this forum but I guarantee I would never screw anyone like these guys.

I hope the buyer gets his money back no questions asked. And to the seller....your tactics are quite questionable.

That book definitely looks trimmed and I'm glad it was pointed out.

The seller is new and the buyer was anonymous by PM. I guess the only way to make sure someone doesn't get ripped off is to post it publicly.

Apparently the seller didn't agree with someone claiming the book had issues...

I ask people all the time if they'll take X dollar amount, only to be told yes, only to tell them, ok I'll keep thinking about it on the sidelines.

If you did that to me, I would say the offer is good for another 5 minutes.
