  1. Next up, my personal favorite of the six Hawkman covers:
  2. This issue I have had since the 70's no real need to upgrade it as it was the nicest early issue of B&B that I had:
  3. This is my second copy of this issue, I had a low grade copy for years (decades) until I got this CGC 8.0 and de-slabbed it:
  4. Well, speaking of Cave Carson, let's get to it. His first issue in #31 is considered a very tough issue in high grade. I have had to upgrade mine twice, once from a low grade copy to a 5.5, and then a couple of years ago to this raw copy:
  5. For whatever reason I don't seem to have pictures of brave and the bold 29 and 30. And I can't seem to take a glare proof picture on my phone.😂
  6. Brian, I love the Cave Carson issues as well. Unfortunately no 9.6’s! 😂
  7. And now the big 3. First JLA and IMHO the one of the most important DC silver age books. Arguably the book that also started the Marvel silver age.
  8. and that brings us to 27. Back in the day finding any of the Suicide Squad issue seemed difficult, I had low grade copies of all three of them. I know have mid grade copies. The Suicide Squad not only where the first non adventure characters in B&B, but it was the beginning of the change of direction to a try out book ala Showcase. This lasted until the team up issues started in #50. The first 24 issues are commonly called the pre-hero issues.
  9. That digest reminds me of S&S 16 😊
  10. Getting ready for my annual Christmas thread of Rudolph's....picked up this beauty!
  11. I'm going to take a pause and see if Brad wants to post a couple.
  12. 23 and 24 are special because the Viking Prince won out the contest for the first solo books! Here is a great greytone cover.
  13. Now one of my favorite covers. As a kid I only had two pre-hero issues, this one and 15. I have a great fondness for both of them:
  14. Followed by Brave and the Bold 21, equally as tough
  15. Ok...moving right along... Brave and the Bold 20! Tough high grade copy!
  16. According to my list I am 81/98 or 83% complete! The project continues!
  17. Wow, a year since I last posted? Here are some recent pickups. These two are upgrades so they dont really get me closer to my goal, but they are sweet!
  18. I know these are a little later than golden age but this one was too pretty not to post
