  1. Teen-Age Romance #20. CGC 7.0 (looks nicer) Low census count issue, only 12 on census, one 8.0 is the only copy higher. $2,800. $15 Shipping USPS anywhere in the US. No returns on graded books. I can sent a lot more scans if interested. Thanks for looking!
  2. Those are all great, congrats on the #2, Thats a tough issue! 👏
  3. I think David should go to Colorado next… 🫣
  4. Brave and the Bold 46. Love the basketball/cover story in this issue!
  5. Okie dokie, moving right along. Phase three of Brave and the Bold to me starts with issue 50, the team-ups! Phase 1 was issue 1-24, the pre-hero issues. Phase 2 was the tryout phase. To me at least phase three starts with issue 50 when the team ups start. So what is 45-49? An intermission of sorts. Palate cleanser? Strange Sports Stories! Most notably by the incomparable Carmine Infantino. I can not overstate how much I enjoyed all five of these issues as a kid. I literally read them to death. They’re just fun and different. Not high on most collectors list and undoubtably less expensive than most other issues, but worthy books nonetheless!
  6. The Kubert B&B Hawkman’s are simply the very best superhero books DC was producing at the time. Side note on collecting them, I have found the 36 to be toughest of the six issues in nice shape, took me years to get my 8.5.
  7. Okay, I’ll take a pause before venturing into Strange Sports Stories. While the Justice League and Hawkman issues may be the most important books in the post Viking Prince/Silent Knight issues, I really think the entire run of 25-44 are just an awesome run of books. Suicide Squad, JLA, Hawkman, and Cave Carson over the course of 20 issues, with some really great stories and art.
  8. Sometimes DC gets a bad rap as being “silly” in the silver age, that was pretty much confined to the Superman and early silver Batman titles. If you haven’t read these you should give them a try!
  9. Now…onto the second Hawkman trilogy, and what a great one it was! Loved these books as a kid when I first read them. Upgraded all of them once or twice to get to the copies I have. I really don’t know which is my favorite, I really like all three. Here is 42
  10. Well, since Mick brought it up… #40, a very awesome Cave Carson issue by Kubert. Cave Carson had two stints in Brave and the Bold on one in Showcase and that was it for the silver age. They were all great stories and art.
  11. Damn Mick, raw is the best isn’t it? You have some gorgeous copies, the inks just pop! I can’t wait to see more. For the record, I think Brave and the Bold, particularly 1-24 were consistently some of the best books published by DC from 1955-59.
  12. And 39 first “box 12” This one is from the Mound City collection.
