I forget where I read it but I once read an article that said something like these 25 cent books were a disaster for DC. They were locked into some kind of deal that they had to produce them for a year or so. Meanwhile, rival Marvel still had 15 cents books on the stands. I think this is when Marvel overtook DC in sales. I believe they both ended up go to 20 cents around the same time. I personally love the 52 pages, they were some of my favorite in my early collecting years due to the reprint material in them. I have all of the Superman titles, Brave and the Bold, Forever People, Tarzan, etc. I love the heft of the books as well as the extra stuff they threw in to fill them up.

Man, Weird Science 12 and 20 are at the top of my want lists!

I remember talking to the owner of Bond Street Books in the late 70's and he told me he had a complete run of that series. It was probably the most impressive collecting feat I had heard of at the time. What a great book!

I just got mine this week. The seller and I had been discussing this book for over a year, I just didnt want to spend that much money, but ultimately I knew I’d regret not buying it more than I would buying it… if that makes any sense 🤣

It’s been quite a awhile since I added an EC to my collection. I missed out on a couple recently I really wanted. Kinda glad now I did because it lead me to getting this sweet thing…
