  1. Just a rumor but I have been seeing some artwork being produced along with talks about there being a Netflix series for Moon Knight. With all the shows Netflix has been doing I see it being possible.

Rumors for years, but back in the spring Netflix/Faige stated there was no plan for an MK anything... That may have changed since then, but I doubt it.

  2. Several bullet points of tu quoque arguments?

    Not much of a defense.

When the argument is "Superman would never kill Zod"

...and the response is "Superman has already killed Zod twice before"

That's not a tu quoque fallacy, that's a double fact. Very sloppy, sl4ppy.

Huh? Neither of those are the arguments.

    The authors arguments are:

    1) This Superman Destroyed An American City!

    2) This Superman Was Reckless!

    3) They Made This Superman A Murderer!

    4) This Superman Movie Is Too Dark!

To which every response is (basically) "some other character does this, so it's okay here." That is the very definition of tu quoque.

...as a parting note and personal opinion, MOS was terrible because `Supes as a character is, frankly, boring.

  3. MK just doesn't translate to a TV show very well..

A multiple personality disorder soldier of fortune mercenary billionaire playboy who also happens to to become a brutally violent psychopathic vigilante? Then mix in the FX budget necessary for a "near-Spawn sized" cape and crescent-moon shaped helicopters, et al?

I love him, but he's just not that relateable (or believable) to a general audience, imho.

  4. Looking for a scanner where I can take 100 scans without having to open the scanner and save each image after each scan.

scan initial image - crop, set scale, color etc, - scan scan scan x 100 - close and save all

    not

scan image - crop, set scale, color etc, - save 1 image. Start over x 100.......

certainly prefer a legal sized and clear unmuddied images are a minimum, the later is pretty much the standard nowadays.

My HP3970 was perfect but it only worked this way with Windows XP. Windows 7 makes it work not well. Same with Vuescan, I can't seem to roll off multiple scans quick and efficiently, I have to save each one.

Some self-written AutoHotKey tools makes the process you describe pretty easy and customizeable.

  5. Just bumping this for a boardie.

Here is a list(Thanks Sharon!) from this thread of scanners that people have confirmed as compatible for slabs using the CCD format, many suggest using Vuescan for best editing tool.

    Epson GT-2000

    HP 7310

HP 7400 (7710 is the actual number for a search)

    HP 7410 All-in-one.

    HP 7780 AIO

    HP Scanjet 8200

    HP 8250

    HP 8300

    HP 8350

HP 8390 (according to HP specs)

    Microtek Scanmaker i800 plus

    Microtek V6UPL

    Microteks 9600-9700-9800

Most new off the shelf units are CIS format, will be blurry(see HP 8600 example above). Editing will not eliminate the blurriness.

So, which one in the above list is the BEST? :)

I'd probably go with the Epson GT-20000 (it's a typo in the above list) as it is a professional grade scanner but is about 5-7 years old now. Unfortunately that is reflected in it's price. The Epson Expression 11000XL- Photo Scanner is the current updated revision. 2400 dpi resolution; 12.2" x 17.2" scanner.

  6. Up to $15k. That absolutely F'n stupid for that book. Someone is going to lose their shirt in a few years when the price returns to normal levels.. That or someone is trolling the auction.

  7. I don't think I ever shared this under-copy I've been sitting on for a while, and it's time for a little bump?

...and this not-so under copy. 1 of only 3 on the census... Arguably harder to find than #32.

  8. Fox is going to make a mint with Deadpool so Marvel/Disney may have to get on their knees a bit and offer a better shared rights deal than what Sony got for Spider-Man. Otherwise, I see little chance of any X-characters appearing in any Marvel/Disney film. Ever.

Having said that, Daredevil blew away my expectations, and Deadpool being rated R will exceed them as well. Makes up for how much Preacher is going to flat out suck

I know this sounds crazy, but Deadpool is too niche'. The vast majority of people outside of comics have never even heard of him..

I suspect it'll be lucky to do GoG levels of success.

  9. Just finished it all as well…that was a fantastic ending!!!

Sucks that we have to wait another year for season two!!!

There hasn't been any movement on a season 2.

Jessica Jones aires next year at this same time, then Luke Cage in 2017, then the Defenders in 2018.

    http://www.cinemablend.com/television/Daredevil-Return-Season-2-Here-What-Showrunner-Says-71082.html

I *hope* there is a season 2, but I'm not getting my hopes up yet and Marvel hasn't said anything official yet that I'm aware of... AFAIK, these were all planned as one-shots.

I have absolutely no idea. No matter what show you do, there’s always a possibility of a second season. Nothing’s been talked about, nothing’s been decided. If I had my druthers, would we do a second season? Sure, I think it would warrant it. In regards to The Defenders and how that works, I think it would work pretty much like the movies. You could do season 1 of Daredevil, you do season 2, and depending on where the other shows fall, you might get second season of Jessica Jones… There’s really no way of telling, it’s really a grand experiment.
  10. Dude!!

Holy thats sweet. Musta set you back a few.. I'm jealous!

Everytime I find some OA like that, it ends up selling for $20k or something stupidly out of my price range.. :/

This was close, but I didn't notice it until after it closed. Still sold for more than I'd probably pay for it...

  11. Might have to hold on a little longer. :( Looks like Nova isn't coming to the screen anytime soon.

    http://screenrant.com/guardians-of-the-galaxy-2-no-nova/

“I don’t want Nova right now because I think Quill being the only earthling is important. That serves the entire movie going audience and not just the handful of Nova fans. Sorry if that upsets you.”

also, while they could certainly change the story, this makes the original connection challenging...

A few other interesting tidbits came from James Gunn’s comments (hat tip CBM) including the revelation that Marvel cannot use the villain Annihilus - a very important character who was essential in helping bring the modern versions of the Guardians of the Galaxy and Nova together. It was Annihilus who began his invasion of the cosmos by eradicating the Nova Corps, leaving Richard Rider as its sole survivor. For more on that, I highly recommend reading the Marvel Comics crossover events Annihilation and Annihilation: Conquest – the events leading to 2008′s GOTG relaunch.
