might as well throw these up here too. Looks like I forgot to scan 1 or 2.. I'll have to dig 'em out....

Where are your Platt Moon Knights?
I'm missing a few of those graded.. but here's what I have.
I was never a big fan of the Vol 2. run or the Marc Spector run. Part of what made MK great for me was the really artistic style. Those 2 runs reverted to very vanilla standard comic art; sometimes really REALLY bad art at that.

This thread is buried too deep, so here's some recent additions.
This is a surprisingly hard to come by/expensive book. 1:75 variant.
This one's not so hard to come by, but cool.
-
Some new toys.. (one I've shown before but now it's in-hand.. so re-bragging necessary. )
I missed the other #1 Stevens variant. Couldn't find a 9.8. Karma for scoring a 10 I guess.

well, to be fair, made valuable by its actual rarity and simply pointed out by these boards.well, to be fair, made valuable by its actual rarity and simply pointed out by these boards.
The Hulk? I think so. I haven't seen many. There's a few books I can think of that will have a similar result, due to the boards knowledge.
Sorry.. Yeah was referring the Hulk #377, not your Hulk book.

Okay guys I am starting to going through my collection and decide what to get rid of. I want to thin out about 3-4 thousand books copper to present. Looking to sell either here on the boards in sets or on Craigslist leaving any keys from these books in place to encourage a sale. I'm talking things like X-factor 1st series 1-117ish, Excalibur 1-100ish, Punisher first series run, Planet Hulk stuff, New Avengers, Namor full run, Quasar Full run, Newer mini series such as Civil War etc. Uncanny X-men ranging from 266- 310ish, Avengers from the 200ish up to 400ish, Moon Knight stuff, Plus DCs like 52 , the Hush run, Plus tons more No Independents. Most would be $1-$10 books with a few more expensive keys like the X-men 266 mentioned above.
Is there interest on the boards for this stuff or is my best bet selling bulk on Craigslist?
Asking this here as not to spam general.
What Moon Knight stuff?

Buy 'em online and have them delivered...
http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10011055/
Thanks for the info... I was digging around looking for these.
Sadly, delivery is pricey.. $99ish

I moved both my display cases next to each other. Just a little re-org in the comic room
These cases are awesome! Too bad the nearest Ikea is over an hour away from me, and I doubt the box would fit in my car. I thought about buying a couple over their website, but Ikea charges more to ship these than they are charging for the display case itself. Maybe I'll rent a pick-up truck one day and pick up 2 or 3.
You can buy them on eBa for $159 shipped for free. You can't beat that deal. These suckers weigh 90 lbs!

Gratz! I've been looking for that book in 9.8 forever!

I've got 9.8s of vol. 2 coming too but Dre scored me this as well.. Had to share right away. Being a subscription customer has it's perks.

Spurred by a thread in the General forum about hoarding.. .

I have 2 Dave books at CGC since March 2nd. They told me not to call back till July.
OUCH! I was about to submit a bunch, but on that news, perhaps not!
anyway, I posted this in WTB too, but...

Rocketeer Adventures (IDW) #3 Black & White Incentive
Rocketeer Adventures (IDW) $4 Black & White Incentive Edition
Preferably graded 9.8s, but great really nice raws will work too.

It's a tough book. Tougher than most would realize. My OO example was in my collection for years until I submitted it to CGC. My second best copy I had sold to Sl4ppy, which he received a 9.4 on that one.

Fear & Laughter is clearly under appreciated..
But it doesn't have a DS cover. If it did, it would be a monster. As it is, it's a cool book for hardcore DS collectors.
Quack isn't a DS cover either, yet it seems much more collectible/popular.

How do I see your registry?
-
Just a quick survey.. I have about 6 copies each of the two IDW Rocketeer Adventures exclusive versions seen below. They are the only two I don't have slabs of and am about to submit them...
They are all 9.8's minimum and some have a pretty reasonable chance at 9.9's.
I was curious if people would be interested in the "extra copies" if I submitted them all?
-
Nice!
Redminds me that I still need a graded copy of that book..
-
Ebay is blocked...what are we talking about here?
A Cheval Noir in VF+ with a BiN for $248. The opening bid is only $5 with no reserve though, so.. *shrug*
FWIW, that's my absolute fav DS cover... If you've got a 9.8+ you'd part with...

Does that mean the thread has ended?

Being nostalgic about Secret Wars II is like being nostalgic for dysentery.
.. so true. What a let down after SW1.
I'll never forget the scene in Peter Parkers apartment where the Beyonder has to pee, but doesn't know what that is. Yes, PP has to show him..

Being super-rare is inversely proportionate to it's value and/or desirability.
The more rare something gets, the less likely buyers are to know of its existence and consequently the less demand and value it has.
There is clearly a convergence of rarity and notoriety that is required for a comic to fit into this loosely defined thread.
I have a comic that I wrote and drew when I was 12. It is 1 of a kind. Is it rare? Sure! It can't get any rarer. Is it desired or valuable? Not in the least.
