    I also have an Abbott & Costello #1 Charlton but the staples have been removed and a Crown Comics GA book with no staples but I can't remember if it had holes or not without looking. Why would anyone remove the staples anyway ?

    I just received a Silver Age book that doean't have staples and also no holes.With a press & clean it would look great as it only has some ncb bends and a mildly rough top edge.How does not having staples affect the grade? I'm assuming a green label for mfg. error.Could it have period staples added without being considered restored? Would that make any difference??? Comic in question is Go-Go #9.Yeah,a Charlton,I know but it's an obsession of mine & none on the census.I did get it fairly cheap
